I've crossed the line into outright trolling now and expect a ban very soon :D After looking at the E3 presentation properly - pre-order cancelled. I'll pick one up for £50-£100 at Christmas when Amazon realise they've a warehouse full of machines that nobody has ever heard of that they can't sell on. That's if it lands in October - I'd say that's very much in doubt now.

Night Stalker and Cloudy Mountain do look cool though.
Yes good call on waiting and getting it cheaper later (if it indeed shows up). I think it's the wise thing to do

The official Amico channels have their naratives controlled by Tommy and he bans everyone who ask questions so only fanboys are left posting there, so I'm not surprised by what you experienced!

A couple more mainstream media have looked into it after the E3 presentation, and here's a good summary by Ars Technica of what I'd heard from smaller youtubers already :

Picked up these ones last Friday:

Have been wanting a second pair of Joycons for quite a while, and thought these looked real good. They turned out to be even more gorgeous in real life.

I don't have that on Switch. Really disliked the graphic style of that remake.

The Zelda Joycons are the cheapest pair you can buy, right? I need to replace the left one on my son's controller, and have been looking at options.

They're all pretty much the same price. I paid 849:- for that pair at Webhallen, and every Joycon pair they have is that price, or even 899:-. So while they were the cheapest, it's not like they were especially cheap. Joycons are stupid expensive which is why it took me so long to get a second pair even though the left one in my initial pair has been sent in to get drift fixed three times, but in the end I at least got the so far best-looking ones Nintendo have released. You can also buy a singular Joycon for 499:-.

If it's drifting that's the problem, I have heard some people say Bergsala might still fix that for free even if it's no longer within the warranty period.

No, he claims he dropped the whole Switch on the floor from his bed, but it sure looks like he's rage-quitted on it, the metal rail has lifted off the plastic etc. I dread buying him something expensive ever again.

Just picked up a complete Radirgy Noa kit. However, I'm running into the weird problem of there being no stage music during gameplay. Sound effects play fine, the attract mode music plays fine, the boss music plays fine and even the high score screen music plays but the stage themes are silent. Everything else runs perfectly. One thing I did note after playing the 360 Radirgy Noa Massive release recently is that the NAOMI original has a tonne more slowdown (particularly in stages 8 and 9). Survival and scoring is easier as a result.

The first Radirgy was released on GD-ROM, correct (I own this as well). Pictured above is the sequel, Radirgy Noa, which was only released in cart form.

A friend is having a rooftop par-tay later this summer and I bought some tracks to DJ. It's generally fun - most people over 40, letting their hair down, making some noise. This is the first one post pandemic so it could get a little crazy but who knows. Anywho, as I spent some money on some music I lamented the days I had Ableton Live where I could make a mix. Yeah, it's the pussy way to do it but it's the easiest way to actually enjoy the tracks as I don't DJ anymore (sans the oddball party). I got a wild hair and Googled around to see if Live would run on Linux as I have very little interest in booting into Windows just to fuck around in a DAW. Well, apparently I should have been keeping up b/c Bitwig (apparently made by ex-Ableton devs) runs on Linux. I installed it, messed around with it a bit, and figured it all out in a couple of hours. Paid $99 for the 16-track version and am having a ball.

Feels really well put together.

I need to sit down and learn to use a DAW to make edits and mixes. Been messing around with a basic hardware setup for jamming, but no finished tracks, yet.

Thanks for bringing Bitwig to my attention - I am pleased to hear that they support Linux. I am currently still using an old Mac G5 with Cubase and may consider switching. I dislike using Windows for sound work too :(

Feature wise Bitwig looks to be sufficient for my needs and $99 is not a bad price at all - I paid a lot more for Cubase and basically everything else.

@scrilla
I did make a mix... not sure if anyone will dig it. It's pretty Burning Man / Organic House -- quite a few tracks from All Day a Dream, but also a couple from Kompakt. Not sure where it should be posted. Also considering if I want to slow it down a bit.

@Minty - you can do everything but save and export in the demo, so give it a shot. I'm using Linux Mint and the demo is actually in the repo. I'm using it for a single thing (making a non-live DJ set), but so far I'm at like 95% satisfaction.

I've not used Ableton since version 9, but there were many tracks it could not properly detect bpm, and when it fucked it up, it would mangle the sound pretty badly. The tracks would work, but would scratch and shit. A friend told me there was a manual way around it but I never figured it out. None of that here. There's a few tracks it misses the mark on big time -- say a 120bpm track it will think is 95bpm. You can fix this very easily by manually increasing the bpm to 120... it will stretch the waveform out accordingly but for some stupid reason, it will not extend the time of the track so it will cut off the last n seconds or so. That's my only big gripe. I figured out a very manual way around it which is livable, but it should have a checkbox that says "extend track time" next to the bpm widget.

One feature I like but would love to see expanded upon: There's an automation window where you can control your devices (in my case, only the EQ and mixer volume). The controls are a nice line graph like in Live. Also like Live, you can only see one at a time. I would love to see 3 or 4. Maybe it would just be too confusing for some people?

Got a sicko LD lot coming. Hopefully all of it survives the USPS. Had to be split into 3 packages. Mostly Japanese stuff. Concert/music LDs mostly from JRock bands but there is a 1985 Queen concert LD in there that is probably excellent. The absolute pièce de résistance is To-y.
