John Baizley is a huge hero of mine...did some of Kvelertak's album art.

Awesome stuff...check it out if you have not yet.
Also...Baroness' new album is pretty epic....

I have a Kylesa shirt with his art on it and some albums. I dig his stuff but I'm think it is being overused now. He is like the new Pushead or something.

No, seriously, I was posting my newly get aero fighters 2 cart over at arcade otaku, and out of nowhere I was offered this sweet 161 in 1...

And waddayasay... It actually feels good not having to swap the carts all the time. And having plenty of choice to play.

My piggy bank that is my blast city is thankful for that. (I still pay 1 Swiss franc each play - even with the 161 in one *g*)

I get the Pushead reference, but I must say that Baizley's work is much more articulate and his subject matter (though the renaissance ladies are recurring) seems to be of a wider spectrum.

I'm just a big fan.

Kylesa rocks BTW...good call.

Today I got this lovely 2 x vinyl album that I've been looking for for quite some time now. Brand new with US shrink wrap and no cutout but a bargain price nonetheless.

Really excited for this. Been after it for a few months for a decent price, and finally found one. Came with the spine card, even, so now that will be floating around. Not sealed, but in pretty good shape, excluding a teeny bit of water damage on the back. Got a bunch of other shit that isn't interesting as well. Who was it that had that Fray mug on here a long while back?

Yep this is confirmed. I had a brief exchange (as in a couple of tweets, not an exchange of underwear) with the guy on Twitter recently just to say thanks for such a wonderful photobook.

The guy replied saying he is working on a Vol.2 to release next year as Mr. Jeffticles rightly says too. :D

In other news... for the first time in weeks I checked my Japan Post sea mail tracking code this morning. A box the size of Texas has finally landed on European shores. I've been waiting since September for this box of full of used crap I'm about to get bumraped in VAT and Customs charges for to arrive.

HURRAH!

Hrm... :strokes beard:

I'm out of town at the moment, but I got an email from my bro who just received the photo mook on my behalf and he said it's a bit rubbish on the whole. :|

I like arts fartsy pics of arcades :D

I just heard the mook is a bit disappointing. Some good old decaying stuff and a few nice shots, but a lot of unnecessary filtering and not much that's significant. I got this in an email tho, it will be a while before I get my hands on the thing so it would be good to hear other people's thoughts so I can gauge if the 2nd vol will be worth getting. Speak up!

Niiiiiiiiice. Neo Turf Masters is one of the best golf games I've played, good stuff.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Probably in a nutshell yeh,
Pics of Arcade's/cabs in decay presented in a artsy-fartsy way, it's all a bit depressing :(

I like it

It's a very nice change compared to all the shmupping and slugging I did on the cab. Very well done and quite challenging after all. Like it very much so far. :)

OK, so I unpacked my Sea Mail treasure chest this evening and here are the photos of the items I got. I'm also uploading a video to my YouTube channel now if anyone would like to check that out later. :)

First up:

Image

Lethal Enforcers for the Super Famicom
Fully boxed. Excellent condition. I have recently sourced the 2P pink gun to go with it. Again, fully boxed.

Image
Image
Image

Ghost In The Shell - Premium Box (Limited Edition Laserdisc)
Mint condition. Contains artwork, a letter from the director. A gorgeous and very limited edition 3 disc set. The definitive release with stuff still not available anywhere else!

Image

Konami All Star Festa 97 (Laserdisc)
Mint condition. This is a concert from 1997 of Konami music performed by leading vocal talent and a symphony orchestra. Lots of goodness that are unavailable on other formats!

Image

Image

Darius Soundtrack(Vinyl)
Mint condition. A nice rarity on vinyl! Beautiful quality, complete with obi strip and sumptuous artwork!

Image

VHS Tapes
Volumes 1 and 3 of the Salamander film. I have volume 2 already as I purchased it a few weeks ago. That completes the trilogy set now!

Running Boy is a wonderful rarity. What is it? It's Star Soldier: The Movie!!!!

Image

More VHS Tapes and a DVD
DoDonpachi Gamest Superplay, a mighty rare Darius II superplay and sealed, new Deathsmiles Official DVD superplay.

Image

Various items
Remember that Darius vinyl a few pics above? That's the same album, but on cassette! Comes complete with a beautiful fold out double-sided poster with gorgeous artwork.

Burning Angels for the PC Engine. Boxed. Mint. Complete.

Hudson 1992 soundtrack, Dion boxed and mint (hard to find now I think) for the Super Famicom, Tatsujin boxed and complete for the Mega Drive and finally a title I've wanted for AGES:

Summer Carnival '93: Nexzr!!!!!

Image

Various items
Have you not guessed I have a crazy Darius obsession by now?! This is the Gameside Darius special. I now have the full set of Shooting Gameside magazines, the Star Soldier Gameside and now the Darius Gameside.

Next is a special promo of the theme music from the soundtrack to Running Boy aka Star Soldier: The Movie. Includes a signed Meijin Takahashi card!

Image

This came from Amazon, not Japan. A Behringer Xenyx 802 to use on my upcoming podcast and for fiddling with film and game capture levels live.
