Re-Born...

Post by TWITCHDOCTOR »

I'm glad that the forum is back up and running, and I even like the new looks!
I guess everyone here is starting over so to speak. So, is all the information from the past site gone and forgotten?
I mean like the high scores list as well as the "hated" 1CC thread?

I decided to type my name slighly differently these days...(used to be all CAPS), but I decided that I'm not really feeling that excited or "intense" anymore.

edit: Trying this out (edit feature). My name looks a little different now...should I keep it like this, or should I go back with those CAPS?

I liked the all CAPS version better. It gave you an aura of crazy wild... Shmup Doctor.

How 'bout my handle change?

Yup, the "all CAPS" was better imo!

That said, I like UFO's original nameversion better as well...

Original names better IMO, but not too important. Oi, should I have my old crap Zanac for mobile phones screen capture for an avatar or get a completely new one?

Yea, I kind of feel that the "all caps" gave my nick-name an intense look.
Well, then again, I like to play intense games! Its not really a shout out loud, but instead more of the way one may feel when playing/beating DoDonpachi.

I'll change it back, as I think I like it better thate other way...that is, if I still can(?)

Well, how can I do it?
Will I have to re-register my name? If so, I'm not sure it will work due to the two same names (TWITCHDOCTOR/TwitchDoctor)
I also noticed that the sign in is no longer upper/lower case sensitive.
If a Mod can help me, yes, I would like my name in CAPS once again.
What was I thinking!!! ?

Why not re-register and have the mods delete your current account? If possible ofcourse...

Cool new forum. And it smells all fresh and minty. Me likes!

I thought I'd change it because it was a little too long. It stood out a lot and looked somewhat messy, like a string of random letters. Although, now it is way harder to write with the points.

Uh, if you were proud of having 1000 posts - then I think your priorities were in the wrong place.

And as for banning lots of ellipses - don't. That way we know who posted which thread.

I was kidding dude. ;)

On both accounts. I don't even know what the deal is with the elipses. I rarely posted after the boards went down.

but more importantly, I miss the old posts.

Yay, Shmups is back. Suddenly my life has meaning again. I was drifting aimlessly for a while there. The internet lost its dazzle. I was spending the same amount of time online, but I had nowhere to go. I was this close to falling in with some bad Goth crowd.

I'm torn, should I go back to my old Señor Tusken Raider avatar, or stick with my forelone Iceman avatar? Hooray for upping the allowed dimensions, bigger avatars mean better images. Maybe I'll finally be able to tell what ThunderForce's avatar is.

Twitch, I say keep your name the way it is. As for myself, I dropped my last name. Everyone felt obligated to call me by both my first and last name, and it seemed so formal. Plus a new avatar, too.

The one thing I'm going to miss from the old forum is the Shmups setup pictures thread. That really kicked ass. I now have a diggy cam, so perhaps I'll start up a new thread for that soon.

I'm gonna stick with my old name and avatar. It always confuzzles me to no end when a regular member changes their avatar, I think they've just joined the forum until I remember to check their nick.

Besides, Grave is still cool. 8) Though I might change to a different, larger image of him...hmm. Something to consider.

It was hated? :?

Not by me, for sure. I used it to keep track of what I've accomplished. Would you do the honors and start a new one here, since it was yours to begin with?

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and say that I am glad the Shmups forum has returned. I used to be "LegalKill" on the old forum but have decided to change it for the redesign. Greetz to the TwitchDoctor!

It's great to be back. :D

TWITCH - definitely all CAPS!

UFO - I like your original title better also.

The 1CC thread is always a good read. Very impressive and unbelievable stuff.

Once again, it's great to be all back together.

Yes, someone help me fix my CAPS!
I emailed Malc, but he may be busy.
(Mods, erase my current account here so that I may type in my old one with...you got it, CAPS!)

U.F.O, I like your older name better. Its cool and original. Well, your new one is too, it just doesn't make as much sense as the older one once did.
Even U.F.O would be ok, I think.

Edit:
I would also like to see the "1 Credit Completion List" back as well.
I kinda forgot them all (trying to sound modest is hard) . I'd have to look through my collection and think for a minute.
Its a shame though, as I thought of it as a "checklist" of sorts. Plus the high scores where printed there as well.
I can remember if I beat a game or not, but I sure ain't gonna remember the score! Then again, neither is my Saturn...battery crapped out again!
