Beautiful Xbox 360 collection, although it's still missing Shooting Love 200X.

I've just completed the Dreamcast library, I'll see if I can take similar pictures of my collection.

Thank you :)

I havent actually added Shooting love yet because the games dont really interest me too much & with the current weak £ means it's pretty expensive for games I possibly wont even play.
If it comes up cheap in the future then I will deffinitley pick it up but until then I'll leave it be.

To be honest I'm only really looking now for 2 older games & my modest collection will pretty much be complete.
Still hunting for reasonbale priced copies of Batsugun & Dodonpachi after that its just Death Smiles & Ketsui for the 360 & then I can relax slightly & start playing them :)

Sold my Saturn and DC years ago and I'm just now getting back into collecting. Down to Blazing Lazers for the Wii and this guy.

sold up pc engine cd, megadrive, snes, most of dreamcast, pretty much all of the saturn stuff, and (to my regret but hey) all my pcbs and my cabs :/

a bunch of games that were bringing silly prices went too (Gaiaseed, Border Down, Radiant Silvergun, etc) all got sold on too in order to get some cash together and clear up much needed space.

Removed as much contentious stuff as possible (in screen shooter stuff like Rez and Orta, overhead gun and run stuff like Red Star and expendable , side on gun and run stuff like Contra and Gunners heaven), and games were i threw out the disk box and kept the games to save space also missing.

Cool collection, didn't expect to see someone else with a couple of Platine games on these forums.

This reminds me.. I need to get Harmful Park.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

yeah, i got into the Japanese "homebrew"/doujin stuff back in 2003 or so, was toying with putting Space Dynagon and a few others in shot but ... you know :D

all very hit and miss stuff, but fun to try out, plus dropping 1000 or so yen or maybe a little more in aki on something that is at least a little different is fun stuff. :D

Might as well. I mean, you put Geometry Wars Galaxies and Senko (not considered shmups) so you might as well put Metal Slug in there too.

I don't actually like Dandelion all that much, but Hitogata Happa and Gundemonium are fun. Maid Samba is great, although awkward to control (intentional) and frustrating. I just need Engage to Jabberwock to complete my collection of Platine stuff.

My PS1 collection is pathetic, at the moment I only have a complete Three Wonders. And of course, I don't really want incomplete games or reprints. It's pretty difficult to find PS1 games in good condition, especially games like Harmful Park.

yeah, after i posted i thought "oops" to those plus Internal Section.

how do you get hold of them in NZ? is there an import doujin place or are you ordering from JPN?

eventually my ps1 collection is going to go. I have such a huge backlog on current gen systems now that the retro stuff has fallen almost entirely off the radar except for playing POPSTATIONed Ps1 stuff on the PSP.

The prices of some of the shooters though is insane. 18000yen for Gaiaseed? Starting to see HPark head up to 12000 in some places too. Seems crazy.

Awesome collection, dcharlie. Although sorry to hear about the lack of space but... FFFFFFFFFFFFFuck a copy of Zen-Ichi and Exception! Both are damn awesome. For the latter, the multi-directional features and blasting big cubes of doom is damn fun. And I think the disc is also a music CD. I quite like the tunes by Phantom Entertainment.

You need to get Hellsinker and Diadra Empty if you see 'em around. Both have enough content and weirdness to keep people entertained for hours and hours.

edit: mmm, I think I should update my collection post.

And I love the pic dcharlie! I might have to do that with mine! I used to with my vinyls as a youngster - lay them all out flat to see them in all their glory!

I just get ShoppingMallJapan to order from JP-only stores. I managed to get a bunch this way, plus a few from SFKhoa here. I've always liked their style.

Well, I don't intend on tracking down all PS1 games, but I would definitely like to get Harmful Park and an original print (with spine) of Raiden DX. I've been looking on YJP but there's only been flawed Harmful Parks, and I haven't seen an original Raiden DX with spine as of yet.
