weak.

:D

What's the first game in the second row of MD games? To the immediate left of Battle Squadron.

Also what's the game on the right of Ikari no Yousai? Quite a few games in here I don't have but would like to. Good taste + list.

They would be Raiden Densetsu and Whip Rush:

Image

Neither are rare in particular. Raiden's a little higher but it's mostly selling due to the name.

Sort of like when you want a pair of Jeans, and you end up paying $50 above what they're really worth, just because they have "Levi" on them.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

I already have Raiden D., it's selling for too much 'cuz it's both got the "Levis" and "stone washed" on it

I don't like jeans anymore, though.

Sell it to me then?

I have a system that could run it... (FM Towns HR20) - though it looks like you do too, from the keyboard.

BTW, did you win that Super Shooting Towns on eBay? I was making a point of staying away from that one 'cuz I knew you wanted it - was going to drop a PM as well but forgot >_< Been too busy checking PCBs and such :?

First what start my shmups mania was Summer Carnival Recca 92 in 1997- this game absolutley blow my head off for some 6 years !!! (TODAY STILL love this game) I was just crazy about this one and think this is best shoting game for consoles like NES/SNES type...(and i've see many before it and like very much, like milipede, megaman series, contra, contra force, gradius, Macross and many others) But when i buy a PC for money what i get mostly from selling my collection of (~150) cartridges i'm start to founding a games what absolutley show me new ways in SHMUP, like:
Dove, Takatis from PC-Magazines-CDs. And one in 2007 what was called Jets'n'guns and somehow Hornado (not bad) and few crappy in my opinion shmups...

I didn't have internet until 2008 so i dint know from where get games in this type and i didn't expect on PC are many in this type what can interest me. But in 2008 when i get internet in my home my head explodes again cause i found tons of freeware PC-Shmps (and get some knowlege about this genre) what are so much playable or even a better than Summer Carnival Recca 92 and many times better than shmups what i played before...on consoles. And my mania starts...

Now you ask me for game what is created for DOS platform and know what i do ? I'm playing it and i like it's nice. I'm looking for more SHMUPS what i can like. So i'm on this site.

Oh yeaahhh!!!

A nice person in the UK sold me this, that's an amazing price for a game that comes up so rarely. The only thing 'wrong' with the game is some very slight wear on the top of the front of the box (which is actually somewhat visible in the picture), as well as some very negligible marks elsewhere. Also, there's a crease on the red back cover of the manual, but otherwise the manual is like new. If there was a warranty card it's missing, oh noes. So, there's some slight shelf wear. Other sellers would ask $100+ for this game, so I think I got it for a bargain.

Fire Pro Wrasslin' I don't care about, but it's a freebie so yay.

That seller has some other good SFC games up for sale in groups of two, like Secret of Mana games and Assault Suits Valken.

I'll squeak at Magic Knight until he gives up that Mahou!

I guess some of those doujins came packed in a retail quality case? Have all those games but Metal Sight, Naious, Star Trader (wouldn't that be grand), Xenon II, and some games I think must be doujins, like Code Zero, Dive On, and D-Return. Never heard of them before anyway :D

Mahou Daisakusen is not that difficult to get. I sold one already (I know you'll want to know, it went on ebay for $102.50) Mind you, it runs poorly at 10MHz, you need 16 or 25 for it really.
16MHz is not a problem :P

The vid you showed has MD being played on an FM Towns UX...so it's on both systems then. My FM Towns has a 486SX @ 20MHz, or so the box claims - if it's not surface-mount I may be able to swap in a 486 I have lying around.

Gotta add that one to my list of games to get then...though the actual PCB should come first.

D-RETURN looks suspiciously Toaplan-like, down to the little wooden-roofed shacks with shadows as seen in that one auction.
