Bryan "Kidhype" Smith has passed away

Post by Thunder Force »

Those shmup fans who are also retro/classic gamers (which is many of us) will be saddened to hear that Bryan "Kidhype" Smith passed away this week, suddenly and unexpectedly, at age 36

An important part of the retro gaming community, Bryan was known widely as co-producer/mixer/editor of the monthly Retrogaming Radio, which has been part of the internet classic gaming scene for years, and Shane & Bryan's RGR booth was a fixture at each year's Classic Gaming Expo.

Bryan's final ( :( ) Retrogaming Radio production remains online, including Bryan's cheerful review of the Terminator 3 pinball coin-op. You can listen to the show and appreciate what Bryan together with Shane brought to the retro gaming community.

Shane is assembling a tribute page and also started a public memorial thread for those online who wish to pay their respects.

And a link to Bryan's personal homepage.
