You'll hate me eternally for this bump. Or maybe not.

I have so much nostalgia for this type of threads. Y'know, it's one of artifacts from "the older internet". The internet before current era of facebook/twitter/reddit/discord/instagram/tumblr. The internet where forums were greatest force and games had fansites instead of wikias, and those fansites were connected between each other in "webrings". I miss that sometimes. Though in 2005-2007 i was mostly on Half-Life and Silent Hill communities (those "deep" plot discussions, haha), and i remember fondly threads like this from that time. And how it disappeared when social networks came and slowly changed way of interaction between users.

Nickname(s): my main aliases are qishmish and InfernalGrape. Qmish is short version, yeah.

Hobbies: uh... besides videogames (playing, collecting related media, and rare attempts on level design i did) - music (again, several: listening to, collecting CDs, and sometimes recording my own noisy things). And somewhere in the future i'll start modular synth, i wish.

I guess surely i've played something (maybe Tyrian, maybe Thunder Force IV, maybe some casual/shareware unnamed thing on pc or j2me mobiles, idk) before i got interested in them - but what exactly, i can't say. As for period when i started getting into genre, i think it's iOS port of Futari that caught my interest and opened me a door to stgs in general.
