What [not shmup] game are you playing now?

Anything from run & guns to modern RPGs, what else do you play?

Nowhere on the subject matter did I say "incorrect". The first dude who joined my character in Tale... did not look like drawn by a person who took many figure drawing lessons, plain and simple. Nothing by Picasso I saw gave me that impression (school is a thing that stays with one for lifetime it would seem).

As for the above pictures, I think their poses are the worst of it. I can't figure out what on Earth they are supposed to express.

ok, so, you're not saying there is anything anatomically incorrect about them, just that the artist 'skipped anatomy lessons' and that the character art is 'lamentably disfigured'. i see.....

the first two people to join your party are in spoiler 1 and 3 of my previous post respectively....

Collins COBUILD dictionary tells me "if someone is disfigured, their appearance is spoiled". Sums up my impressions neatly. They make me pity the artist, hence "lamentably".

Super Paper Mario
finally beat it..i cant argue about RPG Battle System like it dose
in previews titles but this's Super Mario Bros but Paper Edition (kinda)
still has little bit of RPG but overall its platforming game..its good
but has many boring stuff like chapter 6 and some long empty levels

best thing in this game are the Bosses and the Characters elements
in later sections..overall good game

It has been a while since I've been excited to play a game. Cyber Monday needs to get here so I can buy a laptop that will run it!

EDIT - Took the chance and bought it just in case "Can I run it?" was blowing smoke. Figured worse case scenario would have been I pay for it and play it when I upgrade. However it runs!

Super looking forward to this.

It has been a very very long time since I've bought a new game upon its release.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

sorry for my eng again
---

after i beat The Messenger
i tried to play Super Lucky's Tale (steam edition) and yea its working on Win7 8)
why ppl hate this game so much?? most reviews say it dosnt bring anything new
and its frustrating, old style 3d platformer dosnt work nowadays anymore bla bla bla

but yea its fine to get 3D Mario games and lets give it 9 or 10 out of 10 (huge Mario Fan btw)
to be honest..this game is waaay underrated..art is fantastic..it starts easy then
gets harder and harder witch is nice cus i like chanllenging levels,
and yea reviewers hated this game cus its Broken Camera !!!! not borken at all
u can play it through the end without even touch the analog (camera) it has Mario 3D World camera style
(right , center , left)

whatever u need in platformer game is here (puzzles, bullethell, challenging, music, mini games)
game is not perfect cus Bosses are kinda easy
but overall game is fantastic..

At a glance it looks like Ninja Gaiden got the Shovel Knight treatment.

I'm down for that!

Well Kai I'd guess it's some crusty old dinosaurs who will never be satisfied with anything new,
It's mostly little crybabies who complained Cuphead is inaccessible.

Out of curiosity, does The Messenger have autofire?

I'm just wondering because of the videos showing levels where you have to turn an elevator crank by slashing it repeatedly.

Tesla vs Lovecraft. It is excellent. Faster paced than my previous fave Iron Crypticle, not as visually busy as Nex Machina, less stingy with its guns than Gungeon, and with a rideable mech that plows through enemies like a hot knife through butter. Only complaint so far it that it's a touch easy, hoping the difficulty picks up some. Great stuff though,

So yeah the clan thing took a major step back in Kiwami 2. It's boring and I won't be doing more than the bare minimum in it.

I had no intention of playing the first one again, but did think the second might still hold up. Still not pulled the trigger yet though.

LOL.

I honestly used to love Shenmue. Played through 1-2 on my Dreamcast once a year. It's really rough around the edges now.

I finally got around to playing through Deconstructeam's latest full-length game, The Red Strings Club. It's pretty rare for a video game to make me pause and genuinely consider how I morally feel about something. Great shit. A worthy follow-up to GODS WILL BE WATCHING.

Infinite Space III: Sea of Stars

Well I certainly wasn't going to be giving money to Stardock for their crappy Star Control reboot, especially while they're suing the original creators of Star Control into oblivion.

So I re-installed this instead. The third in the series started by "Strange Adventures in Infinite Space" then "Weird Worlds" that's an improvement in every area but graphics (the rough 3d polygons are a eyesore compared to WW's hand-drawn 2D spritework). It's a wonderful coffeebreak game of space exploration. FTL is the most obvious comparison but I'd say it's more like Sword of the Stars with a single fleet.

Buggy mess. The kind that is so bad it tends to ruin the gaming experience.

Yooka-Laylee. After Odyssey, it's odd to play something so much of a throwback. Sloppy controls, awful frame rate, dreadful camera (I had to quit at one point, as in free mode the camera wouldn't let me look down. At all.), but quite fun never the less. The amount of shit to collect....

Think I'm about ready to bin BotW. Fun, but just to vast and empty for me. The shires don't provide enough to get your teeth to, and there is just too much space between points of interest. I've saved at the entrance to the elephant dungeon (at least I presume it's a dungeon), but unless that piques my interest I'm done. Funnily enough, I remember bouncing hard off Twilight Princess because it was Ocarina with better graphics. Ten years without Nintendo, and I think I'm probably ready for a traditional Zelda again.

I loved it for exactly this reason lol

botw is just a fun playground for me. i dont really feel compelled to constantly make progress in the game, it's something that's fun to dick around in for an hour or two every once in a while.

They added an improved camera in the patch, but for some reason didn't make it the default. You can switch to the better camera scheme in the options menu.

Coincidentally I've been playing A Hat in Time after they released their DLC for free. While Yooka Laylee aims to be nothing more than a series of jumping puzzles, AHiT wants desperately to be Psychonauts. The gameplay is superior to Psychonoauts, the writing is vastly inferior. Also the difficulty is aimed at skrubz. The DLC was supposed to add some challenging aftergame content, but I lost interest before getting that far.
