I love how, when it comes to politics, people will just spout out whatever nonsense they want to support their views. Despite what people seem to think, truth and facts don't bend to someone's will just because something is said a ridiculous number of times.

We'll wait however long it takes for the media to release the identities of the shooters. Anyone being remotely honest with themselves, given the evidence we've seen so far (including a video of a well trained man killing a cop from behind) knows that there's only a handful of potential culprits.

This is all a Soros-orchestrated distraction to divert attention away from the Clinton indictment and further increase racial tensions. Obviously.

It's already spread to places with high concentrations of BLM supporters, and you'd best believe that this is going to turn parts of Dallas into Mad Max.
Hate to say it but you're right.

I lived in Detroit in the 80's. Either no cops show up, or ALL of them show up because it's a drug raid. There was hardly ever any in between.

Not much sympathy there. As the federal entity that manages the land burning man takes place on, there are always counts of illegal searches and all around big brother attitude. Not sure if it can go any lower.

You mean like New York in the 70's?

And anyone with a brain would know why. Doesn't excuse it but certainly explains it. Gun nuts always talk about the right to bear arms is for government take overs. Meanwhile, unarmed black people getting killed by cops is a daily occurance.

Bit of a silly thing to say, implying police will stop responding or cease to exist as an institution.
Response times for police in Chicago have risen after its own controversial shooting plus bogus report by outside committee that the CPD is "racist" (despite half the police being non-white). Yeah there are still responses, but most people prefer the police to arrive in 2-3 minutes, not 10-15.

The hyper-partisanship and hyper-division of society fostered by the MSM and social-media "activists" has created a pretty disgusting atmosphere all over the country.

I'm feeling pretty angry about this. I need to get this out of my chest but the racist BLM movement need to shut the hell up and do a bigger movement against police policies regardless of race.

Also, my president needs to shut the hell up and let the justice department do its job. I really feel he is making it worse when he opens his mouth on this issue

The only way we can fix society is if a comically evil alien civilization unwilling to negotiate declares war upon Earth on their own, who are just not enough technically advanced to wipe all of us out in the blink of an eye to the point where we have an even fighting chance; an Independence Day-scenario so to speak. Race, gender, religion, class, politics, and other petty non-issues which have been dividing society for god knows how long all won't matter when there's fucking aliens in the sky ready to massacre us with extreme prejudice. We'll be going back to basics: fighting for survival.

Unfortunately that's never going to happen since governments will have broken down into corporate city-states before we develop working space warfare technology and strategies, who will never cooperate with the rest if it interferes with profits, as the concept of self-sacrifice will be lost at that point in time.

Yes, it is a little scary. To be honest I see this happening in the UK, there were no 'gated communities' when I was growing up they popped up from the early 2000s onwards in the UK but they are a feature these days.

I keep hearing stuff about Antifa/ISIS connections to the shooter, but I wasn't sure if it was confirmed. Do we have a good source on that yet?

Not just 4chan, "converted to islam, mexican criminal, leftist, antifa" ... just the usual opportunist pieces of shit of the american 'right' showing they'll even use the death of innocent people to instill more of their venom.

No non-batshit news source have said anything about the killer's motivations, nothing in his profile showing he could be one of the above yet, no official statement from the authorities anyway.
Don't read shit people.

Well this stupid shooting fucked up the NRA's big bill to loosen restrictions on sound suppressors. They already had to delay it once right after Scalise got shot during that baseball game. This sucks!

"Beyond disgusting" is definitely how I'd describe your situation, John, though probably not for the reason you intended.

Apparently the shooter used a bouncy rifle stock that's a street legal way to side-step the law and convert a semi-auto to fully automatic.

Now imagine how much more freedom that shooter could have spread to the crowd if he had a suppressor attached and most of the crowd was unaware they were being shot at.

At least gun manufacturer stocks are up!
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Still at least as loud as a chainsaw. There are things that shouldn't be allowed on guns, but suppressors aren't one of them.

Not surprising, confirmation bias and all that. People really need to wait before jumping to conclusions. Considering the shooter wasn't Muslim, they wouldn't have had to wait long, anyways.

I do think the official narrative stinks, though. Guy has 20+ rifles (including full autos, which have been near universally outlawed since the mid-80's), brings them to his hotel room (nobody notices?) and goes fish in a barrel on thousands of God fearing Americans? Okay, sure.

For all this talk of motive and wanting answers the man simply would not have been able to shoot people if the US would only see that availability of guns and the use of guns were related. There needs to be a lot of changes and there needs to be a purge on the corruption that keeps these blasé attitudes to owning guns in check. Then, just maybe we'll not be reading these reports far too often. It is very obvious and yet you guys just love your guns far, far too much to have an honest and decent discussion about where your policies have lead you. When you are in a country where a gun is easier to obtain than health care or education that speaks volumes.

Finland and Switzerland (and, for that matter, most parts of the US) say "hi". Correlation isn't causation, yadda yadda.

This guy could have just as easily rented a U-Haul and plowed through the event instead.

(Actually, given the weapons he had, it would've been even easier, which just raises more questions)

Keep reading MediaMatters and eating soy. Nothing is wrong, the government never lies to you (unless it's one of those gosh darned Republicans) and never ever scrutinize anything that can't be blamed on capitalism or the nuclear family.
