PROJECT REVIEWER (EPISODE VII)
LIGHT-UP PUZZLE FUN

Looks like we have a review of another simple, yet entertaining game. This time is Cubic Figures 2.

Need some help?, Check the "Hint" option.

Cubic Figures 2 is like its name says, a sequel to Cubic Figures. Like in Cubic Figures and Cubic Light, you have to assemble a puzzle with random "Mino" shapes (Monominos, Dominos, Triminos, Tetriminos, Pentominos, etc.). Unlike Cubic Light, it lacks of the shapes that light up in designated paths, making the game more similar to its predecessor, but adds a new feature: Give you a "Hint" when your brain had enough of trying to figure out how the puzzle's supposed to go. By pressing the Square button, you'll be getting an image of the fully assembled figure on the upper left side of the screen. Regardless if you use it or not, you'll get the trophy "per stage" once you clear a level. While this sounds like cheating, you'll be relying it very often as the game's puzzles will become from trickier to complex after the first 10 levels. In fact, this sequel feels more like an add-on or DLC for the original Cubic Figures than a sequel.

At least they cared to put an ending screen.

Regardless if you've used the Hint option or not, you'll be getting a "Thanks for Playing" message after completing the game. It might look lame and lack of effort, but it's still better than getting nothing (Learn, Taurian Defense!).
Like in the rest of the Cubic games, they use the same things in graphics and sound department: The black, starry space background and the same copyright free song "Frozen Star" by Kevin McLeod, completes the feeling of playing an expansion of the original Cubic Figures.

Just lighting random shapes in space.
Nothing else.

Cubic Figures 2 remains simple, easy to learn and fun to play despite that simplicity. If you're looking for a good amount of trophies at a cheap price and without the feeling of "I'm playing shit", then this is a good option.

At least entertains and looks better than Breakthrough Gaming's abominations.
