1 DOLLAR ENGINEERING

More of those laughably bad games coming up, Lea.
Looks like RandomSpin Games is no stranger in the Trashfall, and this game is proof of it.

Ernest Cornwell has ordered the construction of the project known as "Grand Engine".
Steam Engine is another of those "Hit the Billion" mark by mashing the square button until you get enough money to spend on a part that generates a slight larger amount per second. Like in Alien Engine and Cyber Engine, you'll still be relying on the Square-mashing until you get around four or five upgrades before investing on the "Education" technologies that will boost more money to the machine, along with the reduction on the rate of money generated. Once the time hits the "Money per 0.2 seconds" then you'll have to sit, invest on everything else and then wait until the billion dollar mark is reached. Basically, is wasting time for the sake of trophy boosting.

Took quite a while to build, boy.
Like all the Engine series, the ending is a crappy result screen, and unlike the previous two games, clearing this one takes a little longer as the prices are higher. So don't be surprised if you took 12 minutes or more to finish.

We've finished the construction of the "Grand Engine" project.
¿For what purpose is Mr. Cornwell requesting something like this?
Unlike Alien Engine and Cyber Engine, Steam Engine breaks with the space background in favor of a desert scenery that fits with the steampunk theme of the game and works A-OK with the machine itself. As for the engine machine, it kinda captures the detailing of the machinery of the epoch, so we have at least a couple of redeeming qualities here.
The music is a calmed ambient tune that manages to fit with the desert setting of the game. Is not Desert Vision, but at least is quite decent.

Lame and boring, but the mission is done with a few more trophies in the bag.
Overall, it's pretty much of the same than its previous "Engine" games, but Steam Engine at least adds a little more effort in the visual department as you play and get the trophies before the game is uninstalled and forgotten.
At least, at the very least, is far more playable than any of Breakthrough Gaming's monstrosities.

Best way to say "Disappointing" without talking.
