SCEI announces release date for Gran Turismo 7.....

Today, Sony revealed it's official release date of March 4th, 2022 for it's upcoming Gran Turismo 7 racing title for both the PS4 & PS5 consoles in the USA.

I do recall with past GT releases, it'd have an offiicial street release date & be delayed a few times before finally being distributed to retail stores (as with GT Sport did some time back for the PS4 console).

I think it depends how game-as-a-servicey it is. On PS3, delays forced them to release a compromise in the form of GT5 Prologue first. But with PS4, they were able to just put GT Sport out there without a ton of content and build it up over time.

Makes me wonder if GT 7 will have support for the PS4 based PS VR setup. I know there's limited PSVR functionality with GT Sport indeed.
