Weapon of Choice DX: "Run n Gun for Older Gamers"

Post by MommysBestGames »

Yeah, I'm trying out marketing the game like that.
In the press release I call it out as
"if you like run and gun games, you're probably ... of a certain age. And your reflexes and eyesight aren't as good as they used to be."
We'll see if that was a good idea to say it that way or not.
But really, I designed game to play easily for an older gamer like myself, with limited time in the day to play, and slowing reflexes. The "Death-Brushing" mechanic is about giving you a bit of help, right about as you die. There are more difficulty settings where that feature is off, for old-school challenge though.

Anyway, we're bringing the DX version to all consoles on September 2nd!

Thanks for playing the Xbox 360 release!
This DX release (deluxe edition) is a remaster/rebalance (not a whole new game).
We did a few things: uprezzed the art to 4K to show better on new TVs, widened the playfield to 16:9 (the game is so old it shipped on 4:3 aspect ratio!), we also added new difficulty settings (several tougher ones), and added "hidden MBG pies" for fun collectibles to find in the levels. And of course, achievements/trophies per platform. We also tweaked boss battles to be more fun/challenging/satistfying now that the game runs at 60fps.

Cool news, Weapon of Choice DX is out now on all consoles!
(Store links are up above, on first post, for convenience.)

Weapon of Choice DX is a short and sweet run and gun, with 4 unique endings, and 7 playable characters.
The play sessions are short, around 10-15 minutes, but there's level branching, Trophies/Achievements, and seven difficulty settings so there's some good replayability. Also it's only $5.99.

Happy shooting!
