Breakthrough Gaming's Baseball "Challenge Mode" (PS4-PS5)

Post by Sturmvogel Prime »

Another Breakthrough Gaming game?, Cut me a break.
Time to review Breakthrough Gaming's Baseball "Challenge Mode Edition"

You'll be really wishing to be taken out of this ball game.

The concept of "Edition" always means an improvement over the original, as if the creator realized the product missed something in the way and they find a way to include it to make it much better and complete. The most classic example of this is with no doubt Street Fighter II' Champion Edition, which took the successful Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and improved it much further with new features and abilities. It happens in videogames and movies like Star Wars. Now what happens when someone with no idea of making a game decides to "improve" its disastrous job? There's only one result for that: The game will end up in failure as before. The most obvious example can be found in Baseball "Challenge Mode Edition". The reason why? Because the game doesn't made an effort, not even tried to do something to improve on its previous "version". If you've already readed my review of Breakthrough Gaming's Baseball, then there's not too much to say of the "Challenge Mode Edition", as it retains the same random, erratic and even unrealistic ball throwing patterns. So, what's different in this version?, They add "letters" on the bottom right of the screen as if each pattern has its own letter from A to M.
THAT...IS...PATHETIC. Just put half of the alphabet and re-release the game as a stand-alone title rather than an update of the original game. Looks like the game Breakthrough Gaming's playing is to find out who's stupid enough to fell for it.

Nice, 12 more trophies, even if you got them playing a trash game.

Does this game have a single virtue? A reason to be on your console? One and just for the time you're playing the game: 12 cheap trophies for 1 buck.

In graphics and sound, there's nothing else to say since the damn thing is the same as the original Baseball game: Your craptastic, zero-budget monochrome screen with horrible sprites and the same crappy fence in the background as a sorry attempt of returning to the "good ol' days" of gaming. If Breakthrough Gaming considered the idea, they should AT LEAST try to improve the graphics for a more colorful, yet slightly detailed game to improve the overall product.

In resume, Breakthrough Gaming's Baseball "Challenge Mode Edition" is a total failure on the concept of improving a game since it does nothing important to improve the overall gameplay. It'd made more sense if they've just updated the original game than releasing this as a stand-alone titile.

Lea crying sums up the whole thing.

There's a twisted part of me that is curious to know much more about this developer.
