Let's start a Herzog Zwei ladder with the Switch version!

Anything from run & guns to modern RPGs, what else do you play?

Let's start a Herzog Zwei ladder with the Switch version!

Post by cave hermit »

I don't know, why not? The switch version has online netplay, an actual tutorial, it's $8 (currently $6 until the 21st), let's form a Herzog Zwei ladder and have some 16 bit RTS fun! Forget league of legends and starcraft!

So I guess basically we could all buy our own copies of the game, play the tutorial and some cpu matches, and then we could start a discord or something to coordinate and setup private matches with the switch version's netplay.

If you have friends, tell them about this, maybe this idea might take off!

I bought this the day it came out, but I haven't put any time into it. I got through the lengthy lecture videos on how to play and not much further.

Is this seriously going to be the system seller for me?!
Why oh why couldn't we have gotten the Sega Ages games on PS4?
I've had my eye on a few other Switch games but know I really don't need another system as what I have satisfies my interests ...but official online Herzog Zwei? I want in on that.
Kinda waiting to see what the rumored Switch pro or whatever ends up being.

Think I'm going to have to pick this one up. RTS has always made my brain hurt, the last ones I played to any sort of degree were Mega-lo-Mania, Supremacy and the original X-Com. Keep hearing good things about this though and I'm curious.

Sadly I don't have Switch. I'll have to make do with my 30 year old Genesis copy of the game.

For those of you with a Switch, this purchase is a no-brainer, it's a great game.
