LA Machineguns. Probably the fastest paced and most intense game on the Model 3

The Talos Principle!
Really enjoyed what I played of that at the time, then hit something that vexed me and never went back, silly boy.

I remember Talos looking similar to - and maybe being overshadowed by - The Witness which released right around the same time. Agree/disagree as someone who actually played it?

Check your retro console and arcade hardware every six months for signs of capacitor issues / bulging / leaking! I get too many emails asking if I repair trace damage from leaky caps

This being the kind of game that primarily made me interested in consoles (back when shit PC port of DMC3 was REMARKABLE nonetheless; I'd no clue of 3D Ys games at the time), I technically am in the middle of playing through the PS3 version of this one. Also, as one of those who played Ōkami to completion when it still was a PS2 exclusive, I still owe Sawaki Takeyasu great deal of trust.
That being sad, it's been maybe a DECADE since the last time I finished playing this genre game, either. So by now, my backlog of those is overwhelming. Even GameCube has got Spartan: Total Warrior, which would be REMARKABLE enough on PS2 alone, never mind GameCube, for crying out loud. In short - El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron appeared in the midst of such oversupply of its genre games, that I doubt most ardent followers of it were quite done with previous-gen batch of those when it came out.

I very much hope that Sonic 1 SMS is #1. If it isn't, your ranking is clearly wrong.

Interesting - I'm not surprised to see 8ing's name, with their also producing at least one Golgo 13 gun game. They all look like real passion projects, at least aesthetically... KISEKI no DANDO is fun to watch just for the manga panels.
