Video Game Artwork
What is your favorite video game artwork/artist? One of my favorite video game covers is Metal Gear Acid 2. Not too crazy about the game but I really dig the artwork. Can someone tell me who the artist is? I couldn't find anything on google about any Metal Gear artist other than Yoji Shinkawa and I don't think it's him.

Whoever did this:
I love it just as much today as when I first laid eyes on it when I was 7 or 8. Iconic.

Masahiro Ito, best known as Silent Hill 1-3's art director + monster designer. His site (partially NSFW).

I would love a Shadow of the Beast that actually used Roger Dean's art in-game. And didn't have crap gameplay (the 3rd one was pretty good).

The name you look for is Tsubasa Masao. After his work on the Ac!d series, he went to do character design / illustrations for the Tactics Ogre Unmei no Wa PSP remake. (which everyone should play)MOSQUITO FIGHTER wrote:One of my favorite video game covers is Metal Gear Acid 2. Not too crazy about the game but I really dig the artwork. And I really like the hand-drawn car as the cover here. It's classy:

Did somebody just say Tactics Ogre? Because I think I just heard somebody say Tactics Ogre.MOSQUITO FIGHTER wrote:Nice, thanks. Will check out the Tactics Ogre remake. That game has nice artwork too.
Tactics Ogre.
In seriousness, this game has absolutely outstanding artwork, writing, and sound. The gameplay got a lot better with the PSP port, but it still feels a bit bland to me (I find myself preferring the slightly faster-paced Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series).

Re: Video Game Artwork
Don't know who the artist is, but I'm certain somebody else worked on the Flashback cutscenes (some badly drawn mugs to be seen there).
I'm not into cars, but Burnout violates them. Artist unknown.
No idea if the game's any good, but the artwork does bring me back in time. Artist unknown.
Metroid: Other M cover does a similar job for me. Artist probably the one who designed the characters.

That's Celal Kandemiroglu, right? He did a ton of cover artworks for various games (mostly for German publishers). He seems to be very versatile and always delivered quality stuff.Sly Cherry Chunks wrote:[Z-Out Cover]
He also did the famous Katakis-Artwork.
And I always found this cover incredibly stylish. Much too good for such a shitty game.

Re: Video Game Artwork
I've got a shitload of game art on my HDD.
Some official, some fan made.
I suppose Mario, Street Fighter, Prince of Persia, God of War make up the most of it. But I've got some oldie stuff too like Another World.
If anyone wants any of it just let me know and I'll upload some of it. I've also got 300+ super high resolution pics of Japanese girls, you won't find better. hehe.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

I bought the Katakis artwork from him (plus crimetime and turrican 2)
Other artwork seen in the pic is by Bob Wakelin and David Rowe.
