Hey guys i'm new here, i'll share my modest collection (started out about 3 months ago)

SNES
-Super R-Type
-Darius Twin
(i also have the super nes advantage for maximum arcade experience 8) )

Neo Geo

-Strikers 1945 PLUS (selling actually, not my cup of tea)

CPS2
-Progear (my most prized possession)
Diane... it's 7:30 a.m. over at the shmup forums, the locals seem to be nice and friendly, i've stopped over at the off topic forum and they have nice conversation and a damn good coffee, and the trading station is worth a stop.

You could go the supergun-route for a start and then switch to a cab when you get more space/resources. :)

Anyway, nice collection, I forgot to say.

I guess this is my intro post, as this is my first post. No cabinets or PCBs (no space) but I do have a selection across many game consoles.

NES:
Lifeforce

GB:
Solar Striker

Turbografx:
Blazing Lasers
Galaga 90

SNES:
Darius Twin

Playstation:
Einhander

PS2:
Gradius V
Raiden III
Silpheed: The Lost Planet

GBA:
Sigma Star Saga (at least in part)

XBox 360:
Proect Sylpheed
Raiden IV

PS3:
Super Stardust HD

I guess that's it. I have several 3D games that are more shmupish and less sim like, but speaking strictly 2D, this is it.
You have found a well. You may think that there is something to it, but in fact, it is just an ordinary well.

First post here.... Wee!

Before knowing such a thread existed, I made a video showing the games I had. Here it is, in case anyone is interested (it is synced to Thunder Force 4's music! YEAH!):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_15oVH5e6uk

Basically you'll see:

NES:
Galaga
Star Soldier
King's Knight
MagMax
Captain Skyhawk
Air Fortress
Burai Fighter
Seicross (does it count?)
Gyruss
Sky Shark
Section Z
Dragon Spirit
Abadox
Gun Nac
Recca (repro)

Genesis:
Mortal Kombat 3 hidden game (no one saw it coming, heh?)
Thunder Force 2
Thunder Force 3
Lightening Force
Zero Wing
Gaiares
Atomic Runner (I make it count. The screen autoscrolls. It's a shmup. Play it. Please. It's amazing.)
M.U.S.H.A.

SNES:
Starfox (I guess it counts? It's an on-rail shooter, but hell it plays like a shmup!)
Super R-Type

PS1:
Einhander

Gamecube:
Ikaruga

Wii:
Geometry Wars
Sin & Punishment Star Sucessor (stage 3, in particular, make this count)

Since then, I acquired a few other shmups of quality (Bangai-O Spirits, Mii Force (lol), Raystorm, Raycrisis, R-Type III, R-Type Delta, Radiant Silvergun (from user Nate who posts here, a recommended seller so far from me))

I want to collect every shmup for the systems I own. I'm going to be getting a ps2 eventually. I want to complete my ps1 collection first. I'm not going to buy every game though because of the mediocrity, but I do have most of them, just not the hard to find ones. I really want meta-ph-list on the ps1 just because of how obscure it is.

I'm fairly new to shmups (or at least collecting them) but here is my collection:

Playstation:
Einhänder

Playstation 2:
Gradius V
R-Type Final (Haven't played much)

Playstation 3:
Ketsui

Gamecube:
Ikaruga

Dreamcast:
Giga Wing
Giga Wing 2
Mars Matrix
Border Down
Bangai-O
Ikaruga
Rez

Sega Saturn:
Radiant Silvergun (aww yeah)
Soukyugurentai
Salamander Collection (Haven't played much)
Dodonpachi
Battle Garegga

PC:
Luftrausers
Ikaruga (again)
Crimzon Clover
Sonic Ironstorm
Jamestown

Wii Virtual Console:
Life Force
Axelay

Annnnnnnnd unfortunately I'm really not good at any of them yet. I've been working at Mars Matrix and Giga Wing pretty hardcore lately but I'm a fairly casual player/collector.
