All my YT videos in one spot - Analog video on MiSTer FPGA
Re: All my YT videos in one spot - SAR: Search and Rescue! 2
Utterly brilliant game - kudos for giving it some exposure! I think it's the best topdown rotary run/gun SNK ever did, and a sharp rebuke to the de facto Ikari III, Guevara. Where that game cranks up on annoyances (godawful camera, useless grenades, biblically assholic final stage that'd be near-impossible to one-life without a certain exploit), SAR is supremely user-friendly, yet intense as all hell. And stylish, too! It's like Aliens meets John Carpenter's The Thing, with a bit of occult terror thrown in for good measure.
I know you mentioned the Switch port - it's actually on PS4 too, via SNK 40th Anniversary. Sadly, while the input response feels fine to me (I've 1CCd it comfortably, planning to record a no-miss to go with my Ikari and Datsugoku runs this year), the collection is very glitchy. I got in touch about a patch, and was told it's never gonna happen. Digital Eclipse remains leagues beneath the standards of Arcade Archives and ShotTriggers.
Still, a game this superb can shine through a subpar port, and it's definitely preferable to MAME. I hope Hamster pick it up, like they have several others from SNK40th.

Thanks. Its odd more people don't know about SAR. It's an SNK bangerBIL wrote:Utterly brilliant game - kudos for giving it some exposure! Re: All my YT videos in one spot - Taito in widescreen!
This reminds me of this particular thread that discusses the possibility that the Mega Drive port was made specifically for 16:9 displays (I don't know when they first appeared on the consumer market but if they existed they certainly weren't the norm): https://mobile.twitter.com/WalrusFPGA/s ... 7777481728
