Good job :D ... I'm going to have to work a little harder to re-claim the crown. Heh, I have NO idea how you were able to get an "S" rank... the highest I've been able to get is "B+". Keep sending in new scores!

Nice one :)

Getting nearly 3 million on 'emotion' as stage one now, and a 500K+ bomb on stage 2 so I hope to catch up soon! :)

Original :
NRS / NRS / 8 308 570 / WR-03 / 29 / ? / C+ (?,?,?) / ? / Normal / PSX

Special Mode :
NRS / NRS / 82 633 700 / WR-02R / 30.2 / ? / ? / Normal / PSX

Those are some scores from a few months back I had written down. Sorry I couldn't remember the other details. And much thanks for bringing this thread new life!

The first WR-03 player arrives :P Good stuff NRS. I just want to check one thing - when you say "29" for the Original Mode - are you referring to Enchroachment% or map no. I just want to make sure I get the right one down!

Don't get too comfortable in that #1 position - you'll be facing a good challenge quite shortly

Ok, I just reformatted the list in a experimental sort of way - tell me if it doesn't show right or you preferred the plain font style better. There's so much data in this game that it was quite hard to fit it all in!

The '29' refers to the Map No (29 is usually the order I play: Consciousness - Memory - Emotion).

Also, scratch my score on Special... turns out I had a better score that I overlooked

NRS / NRS / 91 078 650 / WR-03 / 60% / ? / ? / Normal / PSX

And as for the score list, I have to say the new format looks a lot better. Much easier to read. Looking forward to the good competition here!

Alright, got it. I always thought map no. was the part of the stage you lost at; shows how much I know the game :?

Heh, and I had just improved my Special score! Bah, I'll get you yet! :P

Bah, I'm falling behind :? Dire situations indeed.

Yes, the game saves your Arcade mode scores - it should, anyway. It will be under the "Original Mode" section of the hi-score tables. Can't wait to hear what you've got!

Note: But, the game is odd in that it WILL save scores with credits... keep that in mind.

A useless post here, just a warning that I'm picking up this game again soon. I haven't played a shooting game in months now, so I'm just cutting my teeth on Geki-Oh, but as soon as thats done I'll play this and reclaim nr. 1 position on this board.

This message would, of course, mean more if people still read this board.

I'd like to finish Rayforce first, and then play some Raystorm. But someday, I will take on Ray Crisis too! :)

Great to hear! I'd like to try Rayforce and Raystorm one day... I can never seem to find Raystorm though. No new scores yet, the game is just beating me terribly. I don't remember being this bad at it

Glad to hear you're back Carmen! I was actually thinking about this game the other day... I might just have the motivation now to pick it back up.

See you soon!

Yep you got me playing it again too :)

Might I suggest that rather than the level number, which is pretty meaningless (to me at least!) in the PSX rev we list level names, in order? For example my score was on level number 17 - emotion-intelligence-consciousness. I know theres a lot of info to post for this game already, but I'd like to see what order you guys are playing.

Great to hear it guys! This game deserves the love. I just have a small update for myself (and by small I mean 2 000 pts or so)... but let me tell you, I was on a run today that, had it not been for ONE mistake, would have got me to the number 2 spot and maybe even threated NRS's lead... next time, next time

Haha, you're right Yamakazi, the map nr. is pretty useless. I'd like to think of a way to add in the map names as well, I'll try and think of something that looks good (I'm guessing two rows per entry.) For the record I currently use Consideration-Consideration-Memory. How you do Conciousness with a good score is beyond me

Update! Two really stupid deaths here, one against friggin Dishuman's black hole attack (I hate that attack) I probably would have beaten the git had it not been for that, but hey, near 1m better then my last score!

Special mode update... I really hate Special mode, by the way. This was easily the worst of my runs, as I kept running into the Conciousness boss! and other stupidity. Yet, the score for it was MUCH higher then my fantastic runs because it was the only one where the Score x2 power-up appeared!! So you can imagine I'm a little aggrivated.

Theres got to be some sort of way to trigger it, but this *is* a Taito game, and they usually have some sort of completely random things like this!

Slight increase.

Yamazaki / IGH / 6 700 500 / WR01-R / 83 / 9 / A | S,B+,A | / 59 / Normal / PSX

Over 3 million on 1st stage now quite consistently - just need to follow it with an S grade stage 2...

Such inventive stage order :P Though who am I to talk! Thats good scores, in fact, thats REALLY good scores, you really put pressure on me to put in the game today and see if I could come with something better (really small update for me) Damn, though! I wonder which one us will beat Dishuman first (NRS is already way ahead of us judging by his scores!)

Tomorrow, just you wait until tomorrow! (Hopefully I don't end up playing Wip3out or something after saying that!)

Changing your pilot code all of a sudden?

Yeah, too many IANs around!

I know...the stage order is pretty boring :) I think I need to experiment a bit, I've never really tried memory or consideration.

:D

Yamazaki / IGH / 7 538 700 / WR01-R / 83 / 1 / A | S,S,A | / 61 / Normal / PSX

Grrr.. 1% encroachment away from 3 S grades and 8 million.

*eyes widen* Thats ah... damn, thats really good! NRS's score can't be too far away now!

I tried playing some yesterday as promised, I emphasis "try" because it ... didn't really work out, Maybe *I* should be the one experimenting with new stage order!

Heres to catching up soon!
