A whopping 0.7% improvement here!

MrMonkeyMan - 173,805,132 - 1-ALL - Tiger Schwert - Proof

Well, I really just felt like talking about Ketsui. Who gets to stage 5 without any deaths and 122 million points only to end up with 173 million and no loop?? At least I'm getting a lot more consistent on the first four stages.

You don't have to worry about updating this one, zakk.

if you want
2 Loop normal = all clear with (number of life lost + number of bombs used) <= 6

2 Ura Loop = all clear with 120mil and no-miss and no-bomb

:wink:

MrMonkeyMan - 190,974,505 - 2-2 - Tiger Schwert - Proof

Finally made the Tsuujou loop. I just needed to take a small break from the game it seems. Still a ways for the URA loop.

Sucks that when you seal the suicide bullets on Tsuujou they don't add any chips to your multiplier.

I think I'm at that point of needing a small break too. I can't life to stage 4 at all, and that's holding my score back. I'm also stupidly inconsistent with stage 4, I haven't worked out my path through it to the point where it just happens naturally yet.

MrMonkeyMan - 243,240,873 - 2-4 - Tiger Schwert - Proof - Video

Tsuujou loop. Died once on stage 3 then no missed/no bombed to the stage 5 boss whom I bombed the fuck out of because I'm a pussy and didn't want to lose any lives. I went in to the loop with 200 million, and didn't get the extra life on stage 3.

I actually recorded this run, but as Zakk can attest to, the quality of the captures are quite horrible. I'll probably encode it and throw it up on my site in a couple of days anyway.

Valgar better get back in here. URA loop is almost mine!

I need to get back into this game. Can't believe you cleared the first loop... you started playing this game like 2 days ago or something.

There's the video. first death was on stage 3's huge battleship, a rather crap death I might add. Messed up the stage 3 boss as well. Apparently bombing the fuck out of the stage 5 boss was just using two bombs (crazy how little you care about what happened in the first loop once you make it to the 2nd). Then there's that death on 2-3... how embarrasing.

@MrMonkeyMan
Just downloaded your video. Is it due to a missing codec or is there a general Video-mistake in your run? I ask because I see your ketsui in stunningly neon colors.^^

That's just how Ketsui captures through my capture card. Seems to be a common problem I hear. I mentioned it looked quite awful earlier. I wish it didn't.

Turning down the saturation option in media player seems to make it look a lot better.

At least you can capture Ketsui through your video capture card. I've been trying to get Brave Blade and Ibara to work though my MJPEG card and my standard cards for ages with no luck -_-;;

In any rate, congrats on the good score MMM. Going for 300mil? ^_^

COWBOY-RJJ - 251,048,458 - 2-4 - Panzer Jager TSUUJOU

Next time I will get to 2-5.

Also, does anyone have any arguments against having a seperate table for URA loop? That is how Arcadia does it.

Either have a seperate table for URA loop (which will be a lonely lonely table), or mix them in together, but any URA score is automatically higher ranked than any other score, even if it's numerically lower?

Any preferences?

Just an innocent bystander here. I would suggest posting the loop type next to the score, and keep everything else the same. Or.. if the top scorer is NOT in URA, leave his infos in supersize but white, and super size + big RED the next highest in URA.

Sorry my last score is Tsuujou loop. You get such shit end of level bonus compared to the URA loop (I see SYO getting 34M at the end of stage 3!). The most I have gotten at the end of a Tsuujou stage is 3M or something.

http://cowboy.ikaruga.co.uk/Cowboy-RJJketsui.jpg

So if we are going with oxtsu's idea, do I just post my highest overall score?
