Omake!
moozooh - 584,847,255 - Ageha - ALL

3rd credit. I think I understand the basics of scoring, but I've yet to bring the stage counter on any stage to 25k or more. Point is, there's likely some secret technique.™

Oh well, guess it's time to study ABI's 95 million st1 video and try to understand what he does and how he does it. Cool mode though!

Nah, other stages never went public. I only have the first stage. :( Would be awesome to see a full run though. This mode makes for very impressive antics completely unlike most of the other extra modes on Cave ports.

Ageha 360
moozooh - 79,000,000 - Stage 5

I was at the midboss, one spare life and lots of other resources, with fully worked-out way to safely no-miss Seseri... and XBL connection decided to drop all of a sudden. There goes a high score! Fuck. The first time I got an extend in stage 1, too.

Anyway, this game is an improvement over the first Galuda on every count. Really glad to have it.

Updated up to here. Only keeping 10 names per mode, except for the PCB board, as it was originally 20. A few names got bumped. If you see an error, LMK.

I'm not being notified of updates here, so feel free to nudge me via PM. Nice shootin' guys. I have this game a part of my life, and one day hope to enjoy the other modes that I've only touched on. But, life calls right now... :(

Ageha (PCB):

Code: Select all

BER 175,851,781 ALL
Fought the regular Seseri on purpose. Remaining: 1 life, 6 life frames, ~25% barrier. Done at the Gamecenter in San Mateo, CA.

. . .

Heads up, last Wednesday, I did a ~160 million ALL clear with Asagi. 1 life, 5 life frames, maybe no barrier. I keep forgetting to write down the exact score, but I'll have it probably next Monday when I return to the arcade. Will bump with the score when I have it.

Asagi (PCB):

Code: Select all

BER 168,010,859 ALL
Fought the regular Seseri. Remaining: 1 life, 5 life frames, ~25% barrier...I think. Done at the Gamecenter in San Mateo, CA.

The owner Myung is still trying to upload my slightly inferior ~150 million kusoplay. Soon you'll see how to get away with stupid mistakes!

Asagi (PCB):

Code: Select all

BER 181,748,567 ALL
Fought the regular Seseri. Remaining: 1 life, 6? life frames, ~0%? barrier. Done at the Gamecenter in San Mateo, CA. Quick tip: even though the final boss's final form puts up its shield after you use the barrier, go ahead and switch into kakusei mode anyway. If you wait for the shield to disappear (as I tried to do on this credit), the bullets will reach the bottom of the screen, and you'll most likely end up auto-bombing and wasting gems anyway. So waste the gems on keeping the bullets away from the bottom. I might've had two lives remaining otherwise.

Here's the kusoplay I mentioned before:

Maybe some day I'll learn how to Zeshiki other than to finish off bosses. Hehe, or not.

Congrats Iconoclast! Defintely is a tuff clear, probably the most difficult I've managed, and my score was garbage compared to yours. I haven't given black label a proper go yet, which would you say is easier, 360/arcade mode or black label?

Btw, if you ever find yourself in the pioneer valley Northampton Area send me a PM if you are bored.

Thanks, and yeah, the arcade/360 version is probably the hardest shooter I've cleared as well (either this or Futari God). All of the changes in Black Label make it significantly easier (especially if you're using Seseri), but it's still a lot of fun to play for score. Give it a shot some time, it's one of Cave's best console modes.

I finished on 300Mil with 4 lives left and got a 125Mil Bonus , So if you can finish it with that many lives your score is gonna be quite special

Yeah, I know all about the clear bonus. That run I made to the final boss's second phase. I would have easily cleared it if I didn't lose 2 lives at the beginning of Stage 6 like an idiot.

Good to see people playing Galuda II!

I've barely cracked 100 million.
My attention span usually goes away past the 3rd boss.

Gus, how much time do you spend watching/studying replays vs playing/practicing?

I don't recall anyone else on the forum; aside from sik, being able to pick up a game and begin to tear it apart in a week.

I'm still convinced my motorskills are garbage and I'm searching for ways to improve.
