Even with an early stage 2 death, it looked like I was on pace for 6M but then I died a bunch toward the end of stage 7. I almost didn't even get the clear as I grew impatient when fighting the boss and tried to finish it off with my last bomb, only to end up having to dodge one of the spread patterns...

Died once on the stage 4 boss but that was okay since I had the star. Unfortunately that was made not okay again when I died with the stage 5 1-up floating on the screen. Died once again in the middle of stage 5 and again on the boss.
