Hope to get in a score sometime in the future. I really like this one, dark backgrounds and colorful bullets. Unfortuantly I can't play it seriously now because my Super Joy Box 3 broke by HRAP2 falling on it and smashing it open. Egads! So, I'll get back to it in a week when another Joy Box arrives... =(

Bump. SFKhoa, seems the passion for Samidare has been spreading a lot since the last time I raved all over your Extra Stage clear xD. Let's bring some new life to this thread and scoreboard.

Version 1.52 was released through these years and the game is now officially part of RebRank's catalogue and re-released (more like reprinted with RebRank's logo instead of Amusement Makers) prior to C74.

Thus, things might need a slight update as I think the trial version was also modified a bit.

So yeah, super necromantic necroposting. Expect a score soon.

Just beat this tonight.

spineshark - 32,491,984 - ALL

Oh, damn, I'm last =p I need more work, I still die twice on the last boss' attack where he gets a bunch of options and shoots lots of lasers.

I tend to go upwards and time out that damn part. I HATE it. Oh and this:

Gotta love that tribute to Shinki from Touhou. =D

I'll submit a score soon, I didn't forget.

First clears with a decent score. Both runs could've been no-misses if it weren't for silly deaths at easy parts. Most likely going to try up my scores later.

Still a long way to Mrmonkeyman's and SFKoa's score. Here's a Video from the run. Could use any scoring tips if possible.

MMM's normal score is pretty crazy. There's a couple attacks I could get down faster and some 16x/items missed but I don't know if I could pull off everything perfectly. So I'm pretty much happy with this score.

I might have said this before, but doesn't Samidare default to four lives?

This game really needs more love.

Normal:
SuperSoaker360 - 38,983,768 - ALL

Extra:
SuperSoaker360 - I4,885,530 - ALL

I'm not sure if I should concentrate on getting the x16 bonuses or the item pick ups for score. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Good to see another Samidare player here, and locally too, to boot.
And as for your question, no way to have a mix of both? item pickup is really effective for certain parts of Extra if you point blank.

I'm still trying to devise a good route for the third section of the Extra stage (just before the two mid-bosses), but I have another question... is it generally a good idea to milk bosses for the x16 bonuses in both Extra and Normal?

For the third section, point blank the enemies (that shoot those spirally patterns) to get all the items, since all of them bunched up together rack up a lot of points.
As for whether it's good to milk bosses... you'll have to be more specific than that. The only boss I've only seen that's worth milking (during my playtime) is the 2nd last boss of Extra (UNKNOWN) where you can milk the missiles during the side wave attack.

Well, I was wondering on things like getting x16 bonuses on things like Anareta's missiles or on VIVIT's star attacks. Would they be worth milking or would the time bonus be more of an importance?

Anareta's missiles = not worth it.
VIVIT's stars = Haven't tried it myself; seems like a MAYBE. Given the difficulty of the attack itself; I wouldn't really recommend it.

Thanks for the help. I revised my route a little bit and got a slightly better score. Your scores are crazy though. I don't think I can even compete with them.

Extra:
SuperSoaker360 - J4,745,820 - ALL

I'm probably going to work on improving my score for the Normal play soon. My goal is to make it to 40,000,000.

I think it's about time I start working towards first place. That score has cobwebs on it.

New highest known score; going to work on Extra now. Stage 3 was a bit worse than what is proper for my route (21.2m).
My theoretical max is about 44.5m, but it gets very strict from here on, so I think 44m is a good point to stop at.

Also I'll just share this 2 years old score while I'm at it:

I managed to get the highest known score in Extra (previously 291m by me yesterday, and before that 290.1m by Japanese player DXS) and I'm really satisfied with my results. Theoretical max should be just barely 300m (U). I love this game and I'm glad to have done it well-deserved justice.
