This game is great! My score is a little above 4 mil in stage 2. I die a lot in first level as I try to optimize it. I think it ist possible to max medals just before first middle boss! I once maxed out 1 medal after him.

When or what enemies do spawn medals? Is it random? Does anyone know?

This run was a no miss until the TLB
I noticed that if you don't get hit by the stage 6 boss you get a big score increase.
I am yet to do a full no-miss run
Main way to get big scores is don't drop a medal...

I am the type of guy playing Cave games non stop while making not much of a progress. Amazingly this bothers me not at all. I still love to play them. With Neo Xyx this is somehow different. The game really has a good learning curve (for me) giving me the feeling I can 1CC it, which I am pretty excited about.

So right now I stopped focussing on level 1 details and started to just get as far as possible without dying and then still use continuous to practice the later levels. I am at level 4 right now with a score around 9 mil.

Good work. I've been a little distracted by Twin Tiger Shark, but will get back on Neo XYX this weekend. I need to focus on survival and not scoring for a bit. But I find it so hard to turn a blind eye to scoring, even when I'm no good!

My current weakness is the stage 2 midboss. I rarely down him before time-out and he often downs me!

What is wrong with midboss in second level!? It takes like 7-8 bombs to kill him! Am I missing something here? Thats way too much health points!

Btw, I am at level 4 now with around 15 mil.

Watching a friend play the other day, I think that initially it's the sides of the stage 2 midboss that are the part that needs shooting? And then the centre? Something like that. I've been distracted by playing Chronoblast, but will be back on playing this one soon!

Just managed a Full No miss run of the game and my score was still in the 58,000,000 zone so no extra points for lives remaining :(

The allett, you are playing on MVS, correct? Just wondering if you are using the extra gunpods, they seem to be absent from the DC release.

I hadn't played since last weekend and I was rusty, I did manage a slightly better score on my 4th real sitting with the game. Not getting very far in stage 6 yet.

Yes playing on MVS mate, not using extra gunpods! I have a feeling the max score available in this game is 60,000,000.

The worst thing about this game is this short dying sequence imo.
When they fix this freeze bug, they should work on this, too.
Maybe a warning sound if you died and one sec. more unbreakable.

Got the 1CC but it was far from my high score. Unlikely I'll be playing this again any time soon. There is just so much wrong with it. Still fun, just very frustrating.

I kind of agree with this. Since they didn't give us an exit to title option in the pause menu or ABXY support, the short dying sequence is the least they could do :roll:
