Two deaths in stage 2  Got this a few months ago. I might come back to it some day, wanted to at least reach stage 5..

edit: BTW, could you add a link to the previous hi-score thread on the opening post?

A doesn't seem to be a good choice for Expert survival, it does have some scoring advantages though

missed the st4 extend, missed the overflow by missing the last recharge because I screwed my route earlier and then I died to the st5 boss 3 times and because I lost the extend I didn't even clear

the only thing that went well in this run was the chain value in st5

Do you rank manage on your run ? Like almost no hyper before stage 5 ?

i aim for rank 5 or less entering st5, works out if you die once or twice before st5

st1 midboss - lv1 hyper
st2 midboss - lv6 or lv7 hyper
st3 midboss - nothing or a lv8-10 hyper
st3 boss - lv6+ hyper
st4 midboss - lv1-2 hyper plus allowing a few low level hypers on the stage

no hypers on the st4 boss and expecting to die twice before st5 which puts me at rank 5 or less

if i wanted to go for hibachi i'd have to drop the st3 midboss hyper (which i only use sometimes anyways) and use a lv1-2 and manual bomb the st2 midboss for even less rank, then avoid any non-midboss hypers on st4

it could probably work out as long as my rank is below 10 entering st5 but 5 and less is better i guess

If Bonus! isn't going to keep this up-to-date, then I'm all for locking it and handing it off to someone who will, if someone wants to do the honours.
Perhaps a policy of (relatively) frequent or scheduled updates to score threads should be put in place to stop update inactivity. Will probably discuss this with the mod team.

Icarus, there has been very little activity on this board. I will post an update very shortly, as I am currently, i.e. right now, updating the score boards.

The hiscore tables are now up-to-date again. I added a link to the previous hiscore thread and, based on bananamatic's suggestion, an indication for Hibachi (for modes other than X360 Arrange):

Code: Select all

ALL - beat Hibachi
ALL+ - reached Inbachi
ALL2 - killed Inbachi

I don't really understand the point of that notation. Why would a Hibachi clear still be just normal ALL? If you reached a boss but didn't beat it, it's not a clear and should be marked 5-boss or EX(2)-boss or some such.

The rationale is that Inbachi is the TLB that may or may not be triggered. If you don't trigger Inbachi, then Hibachi is the last boss, and beating her amounts to an ALL. Of course the shorthand is not perfect, but ALL+ entails that you beat Hibachi.

I know that Jaimers is good but didn't know that he managed to get an Inbachi clear

my idea was actually EX-hibachi, EX ALL-hibachi clear, EX2-inbachi, EX2 ALL-inbachi clear and making a difference between a stage gameover and a boss stage gameover

that one makes no sense lol

How about:

5-Boss
ALL
5-EX
ALL-EX (or ALL2)
5-EX2
ALL-EX2 (or ALL3)

This one looks fine. Does anyone object to this notation?

Looks good to me, at least if you go with ALL-EX and ALL-EX2 (ALL2 and ALL3 would be confusing since ALL2 doesn't correspond to 5-EX2).
