Alright, let's get this party on the road. I've decked out the OP with a new look, and some early scores of my own for DTP Maximum. I'm running out of space in that thread title as well :( Looks like rank as been overhauled, ground medals now fill the sub-weapon charge bar rather than the rank bar, and that it's possible to start the game from any stage and play through to the end (should I allow this?). Stage 3 is some nasty business, I'ma need to practice that...

Probably a TLB or TTLB will suffice, I don't think the form is too important if it's the same fight. Do you know what unlocks them? Also you don't HAVE to submit in code tags, those are only to show the format clearly >_>

Fine, I took out the code tags. :V

Assuming Gustav didn't change it since v0.9994, the requirement for the regular TLB should still just be to have a full special gauge when Maximum Disaster (the stage five boss) dies.
The TTLB is what I don't know for sure. Here's a list of things that have been true of both runs where I encountered it:
* Three or less deaths
* No death against Maximum Disaster
* Rank above half of max when Maximum Disaster dies
* No bombs used (but plenty of hyper canceling)
* Full special gauge when Maximum Disaster dies
* Started from stage 1

EDIT: I confirm that starting from stage 1 is a requirement. During experimentation I did a start from stage 5 and proceeded to not die at all while fulfilling all of the other things above, and I got the regular TLB.
EDIT2: I confirm that dying too much will lock you out of the TTLB. I did a run that started from stage 1, used no bombs, and had a full special gauge when Maximum Disaster died, but I died too often (several of those deaths against Maximum Disaster) and got the regular TLB.
EDIT3: Okay, you are allowed to die during the Maximum Disaster fight, and rank has nothing to do with it. I think the requirement is just three or less deaths and no bombs.

*This ship is craaazy, it's fairly easy to pick up over 100 mil from the first stage alone, and I was able to pick up 350 mil starting on stage 5 before the first midboss. The game could very well need all of those score spaces :shock: The charge speed looks to be based on how full the sub-weapon bar is though, so even bombing slows it down a lot.

This was my first run with Last Hope and I died way too often to get the most out of its broken-ness. :V

Yeah, Last Hope is easily and measurably the best ship for scoring and for boss-killing, but it has one major drawback: No screen-clear without using a bomb, which if I'm right about the requirements would mean no TTLB if you ever want to screen clear. It also makes surviving the stages a hell of a lot more difficult, since it has no rank control to speak of.

Really, Last Hope feels more like some kind of lulzy Arrange mode because it plays so hugely different from all the other ships.

Not exactly. I have been getting the TTLB starting from stage 5. Here are the things I did to get him:

Not sure if this is a practice mode bug or not but there you have it. It works every time.

Oh and have a score I guess.

I confirm the correctness of these insane ramblings; the requirements when starting from stage 5 are different. Only thing is: You don't need all of the powerup squares to do it.

Ironically, I think doing it this way is actually much more difficult than unlocking the boss with a start from stage 1.

EDIT: Okay, I have the actual TTLB requirements. These requirements are tabulated for stage 5 only; you can die as much as you want throughout the rest of the stages as long as you do these two things in stage 5.

* Collect twenty of the special items.
* Die no more than once.

Fuck anything you do in the other stages; do these in stage 5 and you've got yourself a TTLB. If you don't fulfill one of those, it will then check to see if you meet the requirements of the fake TLB. If you don't, the game ends.

Got so close to 100mil on the regular Arrange Mode. I just need to go higher. Slight improvement on the Boss Rush, but it still does not move me up to the leaderboards. Made a decent run on Hyper, but everything slows down whenever I progress.

EDIT: I did it. Only that things got slower when my recording got affected. Btw, so close to Giest's score.

Well helloooo

Been quite a while so the original downloads are all dead. I could reupload but I never kept Rainbow Rabel or DSG Rabel, I'll attempt to look around and see if they're somewhere else.

My latest computer couldn't even run the original Odd Mobs anyway :(
