nope, just a no-miss on Original, Hard difficulty. I'll have a respectable score on Hell difficulty soon, I promise

Updated. I also finally 1cced maniac on hard, but it was with literally no bombs or lives left. I can probably bump that one up a good bit, but I'm gonna work on a different game for a bit.

I'm IcarusFW on GameCenter if you're looking for my scores.
My Original score would have been a no-miss, if it wasn't for a slip of the finger in a busy section after the midboss sending me flying into a mass of bullets. Maniac is kinda fun, though I'm flying through with fullauto at the moment, and the right way to score is using the difficult-to-use SHOT ON/OFF toggle for counter-banking techniques, like in the Arcade version.

EDIT: Quick and dirty ALL Clear of Ultra on Novice. Picked up the last score extend from killing TLB Aki. Should manage around 50mil on Ultra/Normal with simple scoring techniques.

Fuck scoring in this game. I have been trying so hard to just 1cc this and it's so awkward to find a way that is comfortable to play this on an iPhone. If they made a phone with a screen the size of an iPad Mini that'd probably make it a lot easier, but the phone is more for my quick shmup fix until I can play with a stick).

Has anyone found a way to do the "break it down" achievement? (Destroy all parts of the lvl 3 boss).
I've tried everything I can but I just can't seem to get it.

Destroy the wings and front legs of the first form before you phase it into the second form.
Also, it's a key scoring trick to know for original, as each part is worth a lot of extra points (10k to 100k each part?).

Ach. Of course. You see, for some reason I always pictured the whole level 3 as one big boss. R-type complex..

Yaaaaay, holy crap Original is all about having extends stocked when you clear the game. Deaths were after the st5 midboss (no bombs), and once early at the final boss. No missed his last phase for the first time without any bombs left!
