Yea, probably eventually. Potential problems I see are determining world records and the fact that a lot of console stuff is kind of busted when playing for score. But then we have the Toaplan counter-stops...

Added a few more games and updated scores.

Well, there are some shmuppers around the world that have managed to get to this score, like I saw on YT: Succulla, A.K上越 and there's gonna be a lot more within the near future...

Third_strike - 387.994.034.160 - 2-4 - C-P (X360)
This was Ura. HUU has the best Tsuujou score.
World: ON! - 6.658.167.510 - ALL - Yuuki Sayo
West: third_strike - 3.804.973.860 - ALL - Kuga
World: Yusemi SWY - 7.103.884.810 - ALL - Yuki Sayo
West: third_strike - 5.477.757.850 - ALL - Kuga2
Compare a Kuga score with a Sayo score is very strange.

My mistake, fixed.

We`re not listing records for every ship type. Otherwise, listings for games that get little traffic but have many ships to choose from, like Change Air Blade or Fixeight, would get bloated and filled with half-assed scores.

And uh... can someone explain Rabio Lepus to me?

Small typo in the Tatsujin Ou entry: "World" in Ruldra's line should be "West."

Thanks. I remembered watching a video in which NMT scored around 2.4m, so I just kinda assumed that the 2,453,100 score was his as well. :P
Despatche wrote:And uh... can someone explain Rabio Lepus to me?
Scoring seems to break down like this in the superplay I watched:
-Bonus for remaining lives upon clearing
-Expert course has double scoring
-At least one boss has some kind of multi-kill bug? (Skip to 5:00 and watch the score counter)

What the hell, Crimson Clover has been added.

Now let's not all go crazy and start adding cell-phone Guwange sequels and such.

Does anyone know how the Darius Burst port compares to the arcade? Not sure if we should list PSP scores.

Dariusburst is a PSP game, Dariusburst Another Chronicle is an arcade game based on that PSP game. Can't really call them anything but "related games".

There aren't many PSP shmups, and last I checked Dariusburst was the only one anyone wanted to touch (your alternatives are Sengoku Cannon and a Cho Aniki, of all things). I think you could just put the Dariusbursts with the other Darius games and it'd be fine.

Speaking of which, what's Daisenpuu doing under Taito? It's no less a Toaplan game than the Tigers. Fighting Hawk, however, definitely is a Taito game.

Great, thanks again.

There are still a few more pages of the hi-score forum I want to go through to make sure we have everything, but that should be about it for scores listed on this site. If anyone has any scores for games not listed or better scores for the ones already here, please share.

Gun.Smoke

World: NFC Zeus - 4.520.600 - ALL

Gunsmoke is a useless game for hi-score, because have infinite patterns and multiple bugs. In a old magazine I found some scores for 20.000.000 pts +.

You only need to loop Zero Wing 3 times to counter stop? wow, what kind of broken scoring trick does the WR use? I know the MD version has that silly final boss milk, is that possible in the arcade version too?
