Jeez, he makes those score improvements in a matter of days unless he already knew his target score and just need the right game plan to execute it.

Got excited about dat Ikaruga score until I saw it's Prototype mode, where the extra homing lasers let you trigger more enemy spawns in a few places, though to get 37.6m it would still have to be a pretty damn good run.

I'd like to request two updates to the Assault Plus Community records:

Assault Plus:
maximo-1,240,750-Easy-Arcade ( Autofire ON if needed) ( Pic is in the respective high score thread)

Assault Plus:
maximo-2,234,500-Super-Arcade ( Autofire on)
Replay of the super run: https://youtu.be/nZ9uIHMHgCo

Thanks!

KTN-HOM seems to be a fan of Raiden V. I talked with him about it a while ago but wasn't sure how much he liked it. It's a great game.

For this is necessary autofire circuit with 30 shoot/sec. The real secret is shop trick without autofire.

Right, I figured it'd be some weird overloading glitch. Figuring out how to do it without autofire will probably make that category impossible for most people...

DEL's highest posted Manpuku 1.01 score is lower than that, so probably?

It is for 1.01 Manpuku, but we don't keep track of console-only modes on this list. The 308m Momo score here is for 1.0, which is completely different.

Man, I'd love to know how that was achieved. saucykobold's run looks pretty optimized to me which leads to the conclusion that there must be a better checkpoint for milking. I'm going to assume you have to sacrifice your lives on the final checkpoint of stage 5, that's the only place in the game that should have a more lucrative scoring potential than its counterpart in stage 6. Still, I don't get the impression that's worth almost 300,000 points, perhaps there's something else (a double K.O. strategy which in turn boosts the scoring potential of another checkpoint?). Does anyone know?

By the way, our Sonic Wings entry should look slightly different:

Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters

AJ-37/Kohful
World: KDK-TAKEYUKI - 1,785,000 - ALL
Community: Perikles - 1,299,800 - ALL replay
Community: Macias - 1,383,300 - ALL replay part 1, part 2 (Aero Fighters)

Macias definitely played Aero Fighters and currently holds the highest score on the forum for that version while I'm lucky enough that noone seems to bother with the original Sonic Wings.

It sounds like a double KO is part of it.

He just improved it, but is still going to keep pushing for a better score.
