Perhaps it's 1.5 Original MAX?

ICR is right, I'm playing 1.5 Original MAX. Aquas wants to have it noted by an "ON" behind the score if I'm understanding the opening post correctly.

Also, crappy first place score:

1.5 Original MAX
Plasmo - 362,168,489 - Stage 4 - 360/ON

This mode is mental.

Yeah, extremely difficult if you wanna score.

Full on sticking to the top of the screen all the time is just hell.

But for some reason I found it easier to do in stage 4 and 5, as the slow down really helps, while stage 1 and 2, it's kind harder for me, thing are fast big time as the screen is less busy.

Wait until you play stages 4-5 on max rank. Stages 1-2 are a walk in the park compared to this.

I actually find Ultra Max to be easier than Original Max on highest rank. This mode is just nuts. No wonder why noone has really gone for higher scores.

I should try playing this one again, but I might be using rapid fire. Maniac mode corrupted me. :D

Heavy score Plasmo, congrats ! I know how hard is this game when you try to score it, lots of risk and memorization has to be spot on !

Over 1,3bill.

The replay is truly unbelieveable. No way I can replicate this. But at least I can die trying.

1.0 Original Xbox 360, no rapid
Elixir - 64,997,041 - ALL (Lx5)

Old score, which I never submitted for some reason. I can better my PB pretty easily, just need to return to it sometime.

Thanks to Softdrink for the screencap.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

I cannot play the 1.5 Matsuri mode on my Japanese 360 anymore. :(
Is it just my system that refuses to start the mode or is it a "global" problem?

Could someone please start up the 1.5 mode and report back :?:

__________

Edit: Clearing the system cache did the trick for me. :D

You might have the bug that I had too (long time ago), after an update. The 1.5 was gone from the game.

I had to by the game a second time :?

Try to enable / cancel the last update and see if it came back in the list ?

Messed up my stage 4 route. I'll come back to this in the future, breaking 65M should be doable but for now I'm moving onto something else.

Slightly beat my 360 arrange best score, on the Steam version. Lots of things went right, but making silly mistakes like usual.

Nice score, Smraedis! (and others, too)

I thought arrange mode had similar button-tapping magic as Maniac and Ultra, but I was surprised to see that neither you nor the current second place replay on the Steam leaderboard employs the same techniques as players do in Manic and Ultra, like holding C and tapping A, or slow-tapping A on the stage 2 midboss. I guess that means I was wrong about arrange mode?

For Arrange, point blanking with A is best for most enemies,.
On the mid bosses, you increase the child counters as much as possible with A, and then tap C rapidly to push it up lots. The child counters don't seem to go up much at all if you autobomb, so I suicide quite a bit.
