Etiquette references to the code of behaviour or in this case with videogaming, the 'DO's and DO NOT' when posting highscores for ranking purposes.
Japanese players feel that strongly that if a player posts a highscore on a console unit should not be ranked with a player using an arcade cab regardless if the game itself plays the same on console compared to arcade. It is all about attention to every detail given the conditions playing in a public area with no control, than sitting in the comfort of your home with your perfect little set-up. For that reasons of small differences, players cannot be concerned to have equal ranking status when posting highscores on the same game using different formats if that makes sense. May have to check this again and re-edit this when I have more time.

That's kinda self-explanatory. But what does it have to do with DEL's score? He's playing a mode that is not available in the arcades anyway. Thus, everyone is playing under the same conditions.

It has nothing to do with etiquette, console exklusive modes/games are just not as popular as "the real thing" i.e. playing arcade games in an arcade environment.

MANPUKU Mode ver1.01

DEL - 286,518,910 - ST2-5 Boss - Rafute
Image

Very unfortunate medal dropped off the bottom of the screen towards the end of ST2-5  . Cost me the chance of the ALL.
Extremely violent credit.

EDIT:- Learnt something new about the Last Boss's opening exchange. Never lard/laser it. This causes unlimited green sprays which WILL kill you. If you just shoot it with with your normal shot -> it behaves. But then you've still got the super-tight pattern afterwards...

Arrange
CSF - 264,793,590 - ALL - Momo

Not connected to the net at the moment, so not on the leaderboard. What's #1 there?

Nice 1 CStarFlare
Here's your Pork pic for the Day
Image

MANPUKU Mode ver1.01
DEL - 287,312,020 - ST2-5 Last Boss - Rafute
Image

Should have been 308mil, as I was 21mil behind my best score at the ST2-4 Boss clearance :|
I can see the 2-ALL happening but every credit is a titanic effort and can vary in score by 30mil.

Everything that had to go well - did.
7 months of running against a brick wall with one character and one utter Chaos mode.
1st loop 148mil
2nd loop 166mil

Upload onto Youtube time. Hopefully I can do a commentary.

Cheers Guys.

Its a stonker of a run. But it needed to be. Anything less than near perfection in terms of lives, suicides, keeping the chain and maxing lard kills and you have absolutely no chance of the 2-ALL on Manpuku.
Manpuku Mode should be called Flatline Mode, because your lives flatline from the start of ST2-4 onwards. Many guaranteed deaths on the last 2 stages mean that the only way to bulldoze your way to the 2-ALL is to carry 4 lives from ST2-3. Otherwise the 2-ALL simply won't happen.

Yikes! Thanks chempop und Plasmo.

btw Plasmo, when you watch the Leaderboard replay, notice the suicides at max 5 lives just before the extends. I did about 4 or 5 of these 5 life suicides during the run and I believe that they were the key to the 2-ALL. The best one was halfway through ST2-3 at 199,999,000
