Ver1.01
MANPUKU Mode
DEL - 152,277,920 - ST2-2 - Rafute

Image

The 2nd loop is sick as I expected. A mix of the arcade mode's 2nd loop popcorn blue enemies spouting green bullets from the top of the screen, plus Manpuku's suicide bullets, plus even madder spreads coming from lard-killed mid sized enemies.

I was 6mil behind my normal score at the completion of ST4, plus a little biit behind on ST5 scoring as well. So more can be squeezed. I'm just not sure if I have the nerves for it :? . You'll know why when you see the replay.

Nice!

I may have asked this before, but do you have a goal in mind? Or do you just want to play more Pork?

CStarFlare - CHI just got me some games from Japan, so as of late Feb I'll be looking to move on.
Ver1.01 Manpuku Mode is my last challenge on Pork. I guess I'll be trying to increase my score for a little while.
Every credit is different. Every credit is a nightmare.

It would be insane to see someone 2-all this someday, but I don't expect it.

Thanks windex, I'll be trying to get further than ST2-2 for sure. I panic-bombed a couple of times in the 2nd loop, so I can improve. But there are a couple of big problems at the end of ST2-2.....or maybe a thousand.

Cheers,

Manpuku ver1.01

DEL- 167,308,540 - ST2-2 - Rafute

Image

Died with a full bomb and fragment bomb still in stock at the end of ST2-2. Stupid error in not accounting for the lightning speed of the bullets :? . The bomb and frag would have given me a good chance at the 170mil extend and a possible ST2-3.
Replay is on the Leaderboard.

Cheers Mills,

I think you'll like it.
You can only appreciate the true horror of Manpuku Mode by trying it yourself.
I'm gonna keep going....after the Youtube upload on the weekend.

Mills - NTSC-J has done a 409mil 2-ALL on Pork's Arcade mode ver1.01 since then.

An example of the suicide bullet Manpuku Mode is this Japanese player's 106mil 1CC of the arcade ver1.0:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyt8lI1_S84 from 4:30mins
Manpuku is quite a bit harder than the arcade mode's second loop, which is also called Harahara mode.
Manpuku's ver1.01 2nd loop is harder still. You'll like the ferocity of ST2-1.
Still a work in progress for me. I want to push further into the 2nd loop.

The main French commentator at Stunfest was Erhune, so its a different guy.
The 167mil replay is up on Youtube now, with a big thanks to pestro87.
Like I said, still very much a work in progress. ST2-1 was a mixed bag. 18mil scoring which was huge, but I mistimed and misplaced the Midboss, throwing away a much needed life. Then there was the mistake at the end of ST2-2 with a full bomb still in stock  .
I'll try and smooth that out and reach ST2-3 etc.

Mills - That was my first (very inexperienced) 2-ALL on Pork's ver1.01 Arcade mode. I'm 11 months more experienced now. My 358mil run is much better and awo's Rafute run is better still. Not to mention NTSC-J's 409mil Ikuo run.
This is my current Manpuku Mode run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV4aFHIJ ... 4-overview
Its a far more difficult achievement than any Arcade Mode run, but its still no good - I want to go much further into Manpuku's 2nd loop.

I also want to encourage competition on Manpuku ver1.01.

^Nice play on words Blinge

I made it to the ST2-2 Boss last night with 169mil. The Boss's main cannon shoots a stream with no gaps  , just like the ST2-2 Midboss. I'm very curious to see what ST2-3 onwards have in store. I guess no-one has ever seen those Manpuku stages.

Cheers Blinge,

My runs won't show you how much pressure Manpuku mode puts you under. Mostly because mildly successful runs don't show the difficulty and the fact that I'm playing aggressively at the top of the screen to reduce hundreds of bullets from appearing.
The second loop is errrm.....Violent

Let's not play the game for nearly a year despite how fun it can be.

Which of course leads to this

Version 1.01
Enigma- 163,782,100 - 2-4 -Rafute

Maybe I should actually practice the game, at least for survival purposes, not scoring cause I don't want to milk. I didn't expect to even get past the first loop cause well, you expect suck for barely playing it for around a year much less beat my score at the end of first loop or get past 2-2, or get to 2-4. I was barely holding onto the credit during pretty much all of 2-3 though.

Edit:

Version 1.01- Harahara
Enigma- 34,498,450- 3- Rafute

Trying to do some Harahara for loop practice. I seem to at least have somewhat of a route for most of stage 1 and 2, though I still suck. Would be nice if I could get a good cancel on that stage 1 midboss, but I'm not going to reset over that. The stage 2 boss just kicks my ass though and stage 3 was still obviously a huge disaster. Really wish this game had boss select for practice.

Anyway, I'm not stopping with MANPUKU Mode until I do something completely silly.

Manpuku Mode Ver1.01

DEL - 194,020,450 - ST2-4 - Rafute

I was expecting the first ST2-4 Midboss to spew out something silly, but I wasn't expecting the SPEED of the central turret's stream  . Smacked me before I could react.

Version 1.01- Harahara
Enigma- 67,101,270- 4- Rafute

Not on the leaderboard since the game just froze(though right after I lost my last life, so that was my score anyway and there were no extra points I could get) and I'm just looking at it right now. My leaderboard score is 53,439,950, which was also stage 4, but didn't make it as far in. I need to grind stage 3 and 4 some and find out routes for how to better survive.

Dunno CHI, Reaching the Manpuku ST2-2 Boss took 2.5 months. A further month and a half for the first ST2-4 Midboss.
To describe it as the most intense/highest work-rate shoot'em up mode could be correct. I reached the final form of the ST2-3 Boss again today, but had to pause the game 3 times on the way there.....to breathe :|
(Playing some Caladrius runs in-between to relax - Cheers for supplying the 3 new games from Japan).
