Previous thread: 1
__________
3 lives, extends at 500K and every 1000K, auto shot on, Normal difficulty. The US version features 6-button support for all three shot types and their respective bomb types.

In versions of MAME that have "Daioh" and "Daioh (earlier)", do NOT use the first one, please use the second one ONLY. Don't use the stage 5 1up exploit. (Well I think Third_strike used it but honestly if you're gonna go and counterstop the game, it's fine I guess, whatever, this game's fucked anyway)

You can get a higher rate of fire externally, but only for the red and yellow weapons. I would prefer for this to be banned; if you used it, please mention so.

STGT scores added. Tell me if you want your score removed (PM me, preferably). There is now a small cap for the 6-button board specifically: get to the second extend.

I like the idea of just plopping STGT scores into their own thread. Might encourage others to play a game so many others have played and *cough* submitted scores for!

Very content with this. Granted, I was devastated at the horrendous death in 2-3 (which also lead to another death later due on account of having not enough bombs), but I played exceedingly well against the bosses for my standards, including a tense battle against the final boss in loop 2 to round things up. Also didn't do any machinations in order to get some extra extends somewhere, just the two you are guaranteed to receive in a run.

On a sillier note, I also have an older Daioh Gale score here - I know (and wholly understand) that you don't like keeping multiple games in one thread, but it's most certainly not worth it to create a separate thread for this obscurity. Don't worry if you don't want to add another board, as I said, I would understand. If you do, though:

Meh. It's not a very interesting game, honestly. If someone has this burning desire to add it, show me?

Seems like the image somehow didn't come through.

I just have to ask again: how long did the counterstop take you? This is pretty insane! Congrats!
