Still on this, though my daily playtime has been somewhat limited. I did do a ghetto recording of my current 2-5 strategy, which is somewhat easier than what the superplays use but still earns 170b: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30vUSyG4RLw

On the topic of the loop, I still find 2-2 sort of a "gateway" stage and while nothing in the loop is easy with Power, I think it relaxes a bit after 2-2 and only gets back at 2-5. 2-3 and 2-4 are well worth learning, since you can get more score out of them than the first loop counterparts.

Not as good as I would like, but I've been getting better. I think I can do a full chain every four or five tries, but getting it all done with an optimal chain value from the first third is rarer than that.

I might be overly optimistic here, I've been failing it a lot again lately. It's definitely not an easy chain. I actually have higher success rate in both 2-3 and 2-4 now.

Sucky run, but at least I got the 2-All. Barely missed entering Ura loop, but my score wouldn't have been as high then cause I haven't practiced the Ura stages much. The spread shot copters and Hibachi would make things a lot harder. Not that I would have gotten to Hibachi due to the spread shot copters ruining my patterns. At least on Omote I can half-ass it somewhat with some of the first loop patterns, though I'd need to practice both loops before I could hope for something good from them. The replay is on the EU version leaderboard.

Absolutely shameful performance in both loops. I know I can get to Ura loop, but I really have to stop screwing up. I'd rather just get it when I can actually do the stages in the first loop instead of just spamming Hypers to get to it.

Also, that last set of laser wheels almost always gets me in loop 1. It's pretty much either a Hyper and/or bomb there just cause I can't get the enemies near the start of it to die quickly enough.

Reached my goal of beating the score from the A-Bomb DVD superplay. I'll probably try a bit more since as the score breakdown tells, I broke in the middle of 2-3. 1-5 is also substandard and I had to use one safety hyper there since I failed to kill the last midboss on time. I still won't be unhappy if this ends up as my final score for now.

Thanks. And not really. I might clear if I get lucky but I have no kind of consistency with the final so I'm not really going to try it. I think my win rate in practice is still only something like 10%.

Power end is harsh since you can't win just by stockpiling resources. You're going to have to be able to dodge the final for some time.
