Had a normal clear of 5.2M but I guess I reset before I jot it down. Will submit a better normal course anyhow at some point. Having trouble getting a good run in Advanced again... but, Special Course is good training for those later bosses.

I told myself I'd give this game a break, but I just had to play it, and what a sad way to lose a run. Died with Strawman on Blunt, so no Sobut or Envy for me. Early game was quite weak too, I really should be getting an A in this. So sad, when Bashi 2 finally gave really good RNG, missiles all over, I screwed it up!

Took a short break from this game, decided to play it today on a whim, and I got this score immediately! Feels good!

Grubby and Bashi R NMNB. Rank got pretty crazy - It's Car-Pet, after all. Glad I cleared, it wasn't looking good when I got to Discharge, but it turned out OK.

Thanks guys I appreciate it, but really, this is a pretty mediocre score still. Considering how crazy this place is about Yagawa and Raizing, I'm honestly surprised that the standards aren't higher for this game on here (no disrespect intended, It's obviously not the easiest game to get into - but then I wonder why people like Yagawa/Raizing so much?)

what made you decide to focus on batrider?

Well, Batrider was the first arcade shmup I truly got into, so it holds a special place. After a while I noticed that gaining a letter score wasn't as hard as I thought, so I tried to learn more.

I also really like games with quirky scoring, specifically those that want you to perform difficult tricks that may seem "unintended" or rather, something unexpected. Tactical bombs and suicides are also my kind of thing. Unfortunately, the more I learned about the scoring in Batrider, the less I enjoyed it, because it can be based on luck rather than skill sometimes, and a lot of the milking is completely mindnumbing (Gob-Robo...)

Still, It's very fun when it all comes together, I guess that's what keeps me coming back.
