A BIG SCORE! (should have been +F but i blew it and lost car-pet on the blue spinny lasers at discharge, total blunder right right that probably cost me the clear :evil: )
obviously I am still very proud of this score, it was 9 months of work since i got the PCB (obligatory mention of NO SAVESTATE Practice). Aquas and Chum were the big help and inspiration showing me the ropes with this game, thanks guys. I’m not done yet :wink:

Testing the waters a bit with the WR team composition, but I don't feel like doing any runs with it for now. Just seeing Aquas streams is good enough for me.

May I suggest separating solo character runs from team runs?

First of all, each character has individual, unique scoring capabilities, so separating makes about as much sense as in any other game. This may be a good way to encourage people to play lesser characters for the fun of it. Second, no solo characters can score remotely as high as a team. I think some of the other Solo scores on the board are really impressive, such as Noah's Maria and Miyamoto scores.

It'd certainly be cool but it would be pretty unwieldy in the forum highscore board format considering how many characters there are (and multiple game modes, too). Especially if you wanted to include categories like all-Garegga or all-Mahou teams (those would also be fun to see), or even default Batrider team runs. If only it were possible to have user-definable filters for these boards...

I'm sure there's others, but Imperishable Night springs to mind as an example of a game covered by Despatche that has a huge number of categories tracked here (60 to be precise, and it could have even been 108)

Team score board should be mixed since there's just too many combinations. Even if you added a category for each solo character/mode combination, that'd only be an addition of 54 categories, less than IN and probably some others.

I’d love separate scoreboards for solo play and 3 boards for the stock teams as well. I think it might motivate people to try something outside of their comfort zone. I enjoy playing as weaker characters and seeing how my strats need adjusting.

i always wanted to split batrider by everything but batrider is a bit more "established" than IN is and it's a bit more work to separate everything out zzz lazy

i'll see what i can do

edit: split by stock teams, any team edit, each solo character. just split from what i have, too many topics to go through

several update later with a couple of 9.5+ runs... A on special with carpet.

however, because i did not clear, hollow victory... i bombed the discharge debris for score but got hit and was left to do discharge on my last life... didn't work out.

can expect a B from a good run that clears, but don't know if i want to work more on this.

I'll go ahead and proper submit it, I suppose.

Because to be honest, I'm taking a small break from Batrider to enjoy some other games (like Caladrius Blaze and Gimmick!). Now that Stunfest is over, I can relax a bit on the game. I do intend on trying to keep my skills fresh though and returning strong. Will probably try some solo runs here and there soon.

alsdkfjklsafjaslk I had a spare bomb but died to the blue lasers of all things. This was after destroying both side pods too, so I was already past the hard part. New PB though because I actually tried medalling unlike my clear a year ago. Would have beaten Blinge's score if I had gotten the kill on Discharge.

This run was really down to the wire, with lots of moments where I was down to my last life, and I finished with no resources too. Going for the special extend in stage 7 by dropping three large bomb items saved me.

Nice run! Great job. I had thought default rank scoring was pointless but clearly in this run it works. I hope you don't mind, but I took notes on your run / route-- for people who aren't patient for bilibili to load. And to give a summation of how a default rank route looks like.

KAL's route is pretty stable from the looks of it. Was usually well ahead of point milestones for having the correct character for each boss. And the times he was on 1 stock, he didn't have to do anything too too crazy or scary. Character choice seems weird, but it worked really well.

batrider g score default KAL

-Option special stage 1
-Skips 1.5 extend, 1.45 at st.2 boss.
-Suicide at beginning of last phase bashinet to Gain, transform to Dream Machine
-Suicide to shorty before killing Bashinet1 for good
-Effective use of shorty for Sewer, doesn't break medal caches before Deviate, gets 3M extend
-Does not milk Deviate
-Only gets 1 full bomb at beginning of Airport
-Suicides to Silversword before escalators, breaks set of escalators on the far sides, skips last ones. Gets 4.5 at helicopters. Only uses 2 bombs over the big air craft before Bazzcok
-Accidental death to Gain during beginning of Bazzcok? 5.6M after Bazzcok
-Gobrobo, waits a long time to get both chain balls. 6M at end of Gobrobo.
-6.6 after Bashi2. Not much milking.
-Tsumiji: doesn't milk multiple ninjas attack.
-Highway: no tank extend. Bombs last red copter on right, skips left one. Dodges both blue helicopter attack. Macrododges to the far right on the spread attack of both copters.
-Hayate: suicides during hayate around 7.45M to Shorty. Only grabs 1 of the full bombs from Hayate. Rank management? Grabs extend at this time as well, before going into Blunt
-Blunt: breaks apart Blunt so that he can get a lot of damage on the core with only one of the middle spread turrets alive. After the shoulders activate with everything else, finishes off Blunt with a laser bomb.
-8.7 going into Black Heart 2. Suicides during mini-BH's to Silver Sword.
-A.3 after BH2 3 bombs used once grenades started on last phase
-Zenovia: no bombs to uncover medals. Death on first midboss to Shorty. No milk on first midboss. Skips full bomb from tank. 1 bomb on first Madball Stations.
-2nd Midboss, uses aura kill technique, after sides are destroyed, just macro dodges attacks from center and gets an aura kill. Too dangerous to kill normal way?
-Bombs medal hatches before first triggers for 2nd optional boss. Bombs first triggers + tank for full bomb item. 3rd full bomb item skipped. Special extend triggers at B.5. Regular extend is at C.
-Double turret midboss wall: Bombs left side at first. Auras front 3 cannons on right turret while milking popcorn dropping in.
-Takes suicide before last madball Bashi-r triggers for bombing scoring opportunity. (B.7)
-3 Bombs approaching final stretch. Silversword bomb right down the middle takes out all of the laser pods on each side. Nice!
-Grubby: Gets kill about 3 cycles of the final armaments in. Could milk more, but didn't.
-BashiR: D.6 afterwards.
-Glow Squid: suicides before approach at back of screen.
-Building: Starts E.3. Drops medals once 2nd section starts. Gets 4 bombs from section after. Maxes out bombs. Shortys really good at getting bombs from the Pods.
-Discharge phase 1: no milk. F.2 after Phase 1. Gets Silversword extend.
