Awesome. I was hoping you would so I could enjoy seeing the brief moment where I'm ahead of CHI on a hi-score board!

Thanks!

No problem, although I'm only on the net once or twice a week so you got lucky this time

EDIT: What am I talking about, twice a week at least

Here we go...

New scores from CHI and me. One of us should get that 1CC soon!

spadgy - 596,600 - area 135

CHI - 673,000 - area 135

Same area - very different scores!

Here's the pic, with a nice Cave logo on Ketsui cab in the background proving its in the wild (I spent so long trying to find my phone to take the picture I also failed to get the 'A' of 'OTA' in, but I promise it's me!).

Area 135 tells me you're both at the jet fighter section now and after that is the final boss, so you're very close. CHI's score is pretty high, was he milking the jet fighters? I might have to take another crack at this if my score gets beaten!

PRO TIP:the safe spot for the jet fighters is the extreme left of the screen

Sorry CHI - I thought I'd put your 1.6mil and my new score up here already.

Anyway - you've beaten that now. Well done!

I still haven't recovered from killing the end boss and loosing my life after that point on a stray bullet. I'll dig out that score though...

Here is my score from Casino, I only had time for one run on the Sunday before I had to go back home, and I also did this run while the staff were taking money out of the machine, and the screen was going crazy at the same time.

Smraedis - 1,878,100 - ALL

Finally got my 1CC on day one of London Shooter Meet VIII. Finally! Might have to go back having seen Smraedis suicide on the end boss to milk score from the jets.

Updated now, somehow I totally missed your post the other day.

And congrats on the score, I think you're within 100k of the world record.

Is there more than one version of Fighting Hawk? The reason I ask is I see a discrepancy in the area number on the recently released Arcade Archives release and the leaderboard here.

Image

Jeneki - 488,500 - Area 216 - Autofire yes
(the most recent play is shown above 1st place, strange way of doing the initials screen)

Compare that to the area/scores already posted here and numbers look odd. For reference, this run ended at the checkpoint for the 12-shot tank on stage 5.

I'll add a note to the OP about that, if that's the only difference(?) then it's no big deal.

Jeneki - 593,550 - Area (Jets)
PS4 Arcade Archives Hi-Score mode - Autofire yes

I think I figured out the issue with how it counts areas: It doesn't reset the area counter when the next game starts. There's no way ending the game just after the first big tank is area 348  . This seems to only affect the the Hi-Score mode (the leaderboard mode that locks the game settings to default and disables pause), as I'm unable to duplicate the glitch in the regular game mode. GOOD PATCHING IS REQUIRED!

Just need to learn the Jets and I'll finish this up. :D

OK I'll leave the area reached as blank for now, surely they'll patch that.
