I'm just trying to milk as much as possible, and keeping the enemies and bosses on the screen for as long as I can. Not sure what my score would be like without autofire, but I know my fingers would be hurting.

Updated.

Good work smraedis! Straight in at number two.

And CHI is the no-autfire champ for now! Great work - I'm looking forward to seeing your wrist explode in person tonight!

But he's #3 despite not using autofire?

Oh wait, check CHI's score entry. His score is lower but for some reason you've got Smraedises' score in CHI's listing.

TBH there really need to be two boards - maybe four if you split milking / non-milking in addition to AF. Lol, this game :D

 Fixed! I will learn to sneak-post at work more accurately, I promise.

I was thinking exactly this. I think an overall board and then two split by autofire. I'll set it up later today. Back to work!

Creeping up. Still desperate for a cart though. :x

Yeah, you should split the boards by autofire, that makes sense - it's tough on the arm to keep up the rapid fire. Don't need to split them by milking though, it's part of the game.

Shit! Skykid learned to milk properly - just behind my score by level five!

And nice work CHI. I haven't played since last Thursday - I need to get back on it!

I'll update this one as soon as I'm done at work!

I was always fine at the milking. It was the dying that was the problem.

Of course - what I meant was "Skykid can milk far better than I can!". I'm still at 400k at the end of level one!

Whaaa! Did you milk the hell out of stuff Drago? It's a tough weapon combination to be really effective with (That autofire must help with the 3 way.)

Glad you hate it though! :D

I finally watched these. Thanks for the effort CHI, and two Del for holding the camera for so long! I must borrow a tripod from the wife.

You're only at the bottom of one. Mrs spadgy is holding one lower in the overall board. Still, you'd better get back to it Ed!

Excellent work. Sounds like you're done with the game though? And Skykid has his cart? I need to get a lead then!

Just stay top middle and do your supermarket sweeps innit.
I have a theory on the ST7 Boss - point blank it in its middle, following it up and down.

I wondered why we still didn't have a DEL score here. That all sounds like such a nightmare.

Welcome clp. That's an awesome start. I hope you come back to give CHI some hassle! Maybe one day even Raiden Fighters 2 will be beaten.

And nice work CHI. 4mil will be yours soon.

And where are you Skykid? Come on sunshine! (I might soon regret that haggling...)

Also, I have a score to submit:

spadgy - 2,657,500 - Lv5 - Uncle Beard - Wave/A-S/Wave - PCB - NO

A picture? Sure...

Updating the high-score board now...

EDIT: Board updated!

After a visit to Casino on Thursday with CHI helping me with some great over-the-shoulder advice on stage seven, I managed this:

spadgy - 3,172,800 - Lv7 - Uncle Beard - Wave/A-S/Wave - PCB - NO

Almost enough to get on the cab's CHI-dominated score board, but not quite, so here's a blurry shot as the 'Continue?' timer counted down:

Image

And thanks to CHI, I also have a little rundown of my scores at the end of each level, if that helps anybody see where you should be at with 'middling' non-autofire milking abilities.

Lv1 - 890k
Lv2 - 1.24m
Lv3 - 1.74m
Lv4 - 2.23m
Lv5 - 2.64m
Lv6 - 3.02m

Updating now!

EDIT: Updated. I've climbed above one more autofire score with my non-autofire score, which feels good...

Hey, great vids! It's like I'm there... almost. Good to see some other people play it, really helps. I'm pretty much equalling your stage scores spadge, but your techniques are definitely better (hence I can't get past stage 5). Got Drago's ZB cart today and upped my score straight away, but I won't be happy until I get a 3 mil score so I'll post it when I do.

must remember to play a bit safer on this game, I play it like a total nutcase.

Hmmm. So, as I run this thread, I could just ignore Skykid's score, right?

Only kidding clitnose! I've updated - sorry about the delay - I've been swanning around overseas on two press trips this week, and not had much internet time.

Good work too - considering you haven't got the score for the level 6 boss, you must have score a little more than me when at the point where you died.

I will get back to this game, but I can't stop playing Shock Troopers!

Just discovered something funny. According to Germants old page the arcadia record for Zed Blade is 7.308.850 with autofire and 8.135.500 without. Wonder what that means?
