Endless Fire

Post by ArrogantBastard »

Nullpointer has created this fine gem of a game called Endless Fire for all of us to play with. Unfortunately it's only an tester version, which isn't perfect...yet. But at any rate, everyone who's recently played it seems to be enjoying it, and there were couple of requests for a High Score thread for this game, so here it is...

To play Endless Fire, you must download the game from this site located here.

Nullpointer's Endless Fire thread can be located here for your reading enjoyment, or to leave comments for bugs / suggestions.

Now, this shouldn't be too hard to follow the format for posting your scores. It should follow as such: [Your user name] - [High score] - [Generations] - [Mode: P = Psycho / N = Non-Psycho]

The rules are to leave everything default, of course... I'm not entirely sure if I need to create an entirely new category for Psycho mode, but I'm going to request that you mention which mode you used.

That should be simple enough to follow, I presume?

Normal
1. Dynagod - 2,137,604 - 760 - N
2. magnum opus - 446,124 - 95 - N
3. MrMonkeyMan - 421,091 - 113 - N
4. SteevTee - 363,235 - 136 - N
5. Super Laydock - 278,528 - 70 - N
6. captain ahar - 246,398 - 73 - N
7. ArrogantBastard - 207,731 - 50 - P
8. AiD - 198,329 - 59 - P
9.
10.

Thanks, Nullpointer for the tester version!

359,198 98 P (whatever the default mode is, with the back ground)

the thing is the menu screens says hit p to toggle psycho mode off when the back ground is present so I'm not really sure.

I should add that by enabling the Psycho mode, it turns the background black; and by disabling Psycho mode, you have the default background scrolling and whatnot in the back.

Hope this clears up any questions you may have about Psycho / Non-Psycho mode...

MrMonkeyMan - 421,091 - 113 - N

It gets pretty tight after a while. Especially when everything is shooting those laser beams...

Super Laydock - 278,528 - 70 - N

The game is starting to grow on me. It has got jut right speed, and is a nice way to relax between surfing sessions on the net. :)

More than enough room to improve on this score too I think.

SteevTee - 267,150 - 136 - N

Doubled my previous best, now I know how to play.

Edit: I just got 363,235 - 136 - N

I got that whilst having a headache and being really tired.

Am I the only one playing this now?!

The link at the beginning of the thread is broken, http://www.odessadesign.co.uk/codespace/endless.htm is the current web address for Endless Fire.
