Andro Dunos

Thanks to Macaw for running the tournament that got this game the attention to give it a high score thread, and thanks again to Macaw for some of the information here...

LAST UPDATE: December 14th, 2014

ARCADE, NEO GEO
ALL DEFAULTS
ANY KIND OF AUTOFIRE ALLOWED

Format = Name - Stage (with loop) - Autofire (A-YES or A-NO) - Score

Macaw's mighty squarkings on this game: "Totally awesome game. One of the best examples of exceptional use of a standard space theme. Awesome early 90's atmosphere (it was made in 92 after all!) thanks to the great soundtrack and ship/enemy designs.

Greatest feature is without doubt the stage designs. All kinds of awesome stuff happens during stages, heaps of mini-bosses, sudden changes of scrolling direction, excitement and overall awesomeness."

Any feedback on the above? The scores as of today's date are from the Macaw tournament. http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... 51&start=0

Firstly - 15 places on the high score table? My instinct is to go with 10, and if not run it to 20. I understand with 15 places currently there and me being number 15 it looks like I've chosen that number so I scrape in, but I feel bad cutting it down to 10 as there were 15 scoring players who registered the scores to create this list (See above link).

Thinking about it 20 places gives more players a chance to get into the game, and encourages a bit more competition. I happy with the extra work.

All happy with autofire? That's just how it was in the tourny!

Let me know your thoughts.

Well, autofire shouldn't be banned, but maybe you could add an autofire on/off comment so people who like pounding buttons can get their pride thing on ;) Certainly, if you decide to do that, I'd like that to be added by my score, please.

Good idea - to do that I'll need everybody's settings, so let me know people!

Edit - what were you Ed - Autofire Off I'm betting!

Fine, and updated.

I need to actually play this game some more. I think in Macaws tournament, which is the only time I played this, I only got about one evening's worth in...

Nice work Kollision! First place is yours.

I've also tidied up the OP a bit.

Tks, chaps. :)

Things got pretty hairy in 2-4, I had two extra lives getting there and I lost them in a snap after the midboss....
Does anybody know if the game ends after the 2nd round? Maybe loops endlessly?

And that 1CC seems close! Keep it up.

(I just noticed how awful my score it. Think that's from an old Macaw Shooting Tournament where I played too little in the given week. Sometime this year I'll find time to return to this beauty of a game. Other shmups to tackle first though!).

YEEEEEES!!!!! My second 1cc, and the first one that feels satisfactory. I knew i had this one ready, but phew it took much more days than expected, it´s not easy to pull a 1cc in one session. Had a couple of stupid deaths, another one or two infuriating ones (fuck you second part of meteor stage) but managed to reach the last boss with 4 lives and fully powered on weapons, even with a shield. It was bombing time on that sucker. Fuck yeah!

Of course loop 2 raped my butt mightily (losing so much firepower on bombs sold me) but finally got this wonderful game completed. Now i can take some sessions on Cybattler for the STGT and afterwards examine Crimzon Clover (couldn´t be released in a worst moment).

This forum needs dancing banana type emotes btw, can´t express my elation with the few inane ones available

I updated this thread far earlier than this post, alright?

   So sorry that's not too. Crazy patch of my life of late. Finally done, and I promise I'll be much better going forward!

Insane work by saucykobold and Jaimers, and a special big up to coturnixx for the 1CC milestone, and the first 1CC here without autofire. RSICC!
