1cc Lists

Post by MovingTarget »

I remember last year sometime, shortly before I lost the internet, I seen a thread that contained the forum user's 1cc lists. I was extremely impressed by some and would love to see again these incredible feats.

Please feel free to post your completions here!

Updated

*Soukyugurentai SATURN
*Shienryu Explosion/Steel Dragon Evo PS2
*Psyvariar Revision PS2
*R-Type Final PS2

Please keep your lists restricted to one post, keep it updated!

Hmm... let's see what I can remember...

Aleste (MSX)
Aleste 2 (MSX)
Aleste Gaiden (MSX)
GG Aleste (Game Gear)
GG Aleste 2 (Game Gear)
M.U.S.H.A. (Mega-Drive)
Super Aleste (SNES)
Zanac (MSX)
Zanac (NES)
Zanac EX (MSX)
Zanac Neo (PS1)
Gunnac (NES)
Legendary Wings (NES)
Recca (NES)
Gradius (MSX)
Gradius (Arcade)
Gradius 2 (MSX)
Nemesis 3 (MSX)
Space Manbow (MSX)
Soldier Blade (PC-Engine)
Knightmare (MSX)
Sagaia (Master-System)
Silkworm (Amiga)
Blast Wind (Saturn)
Coryoon (PC-Engine)
Harmful Park (Playstation)
Armed Police Batrider (Arcade)
Astro Warrior (Master System) (Well, I looped it 4 times :D)
G-Darius (PSX)
X2 (PSX)
Tyrian (PC)
Creature Jungle 16 (PC)
Xenon (MSX/Spectrum)
Phantis (MSX/Spectrum) (The 1st part is a shmup game.. I finished the whole game)
Stardust (MSX/Spectrum)
Swiv (Amiga) (I remember finishing it.. but I must admit, I dont remember if I Cheated or not..)
Alpharoid (MSX)
Jagur (MSX) (Not a real shmup, but its listed in the Xenocide files, so...)
Undeadline (MSX)
Who Dares Wins 2 (MSX) (Again, not a real shmup...)
Power Strike 2 (SMS)
Twinbee Yahho (Arcade)
Darius Gaiden (Arcade)
Star Force (Arcade) (Reached Infinity stage)
Gigawing (Arcade)

That's what I can remember now... nothing here is extremely hard either. (Except by a couple of games, that could make a good list in those "Easy games to 1cc" topics :D)

Games I am ashamed of have not finished yet:

Thunder Force 5 - I got to the last boss twice. I just stopped playing it for some reason.. I should get back to it and finish it at once :D
Zanac Neo - I LOVE that game, but my copy is pirated, and it keeps crashing from time to time, which makes me hate playing it :(
Sonic Wings Special - Same as TF5, I could reach last stage consistantly, then I got newer games and stopped playing it, and I just lost the hang of it. Nowadays when I try to play it again, I just suck at it too much :D.

JP, you got me worried... you have 1cced Sokyugurentai and RSG, 2 games that just kick my ass badly... and you haven't finished Hyper Duel...

, I can 1life Hyper Duel easily up until the 3rd boss, and then I can't get past of that sucker. I'd think Hyper Duel would be as easy as Blast Wind.... how hard does it get later?

Edit: Removed the "Darius Gaiden is beating me" part as I have finally finished the game :)

Eh, I haven't played Hyper Duel in a loooooong time. When I got it I played it for about 3 days and then moved on to something else, and shortly thereafter I hit this hiatus from gaming (which I'm just now getting out of, though with the Dreamcast).

If I recall, before all was said and done I could get past level 4 or 5 on one life and then level 6 would finish me off. At least, I THINK thats how I remember it happening.

For the 3rd level boss I think the strategy involves turning into mech form, standing in the corner, and blasting away. There's a safe spot over there so that its bullet spray actually goes over your head. Just sit there and he'll go down, lickity split. :D

The 3rd level boss in Hyper duel is a breeze, do what JP said (only I stay in ship form for the first phase, then change to the mech and stay in the left corner in the second stage when he blasts those diagonal bullet streams). I've only played the game for 2 hours but I can get to the 6th level boss on one credit with a score of about 1.2 million. I'm talking about Saturn mode of course. Arcade mode is more difficult because there is no gun lock in mech form, though the bosses take far fewer shots to finish off, so I guess it evens out. My high in Arcade mode is only 700,000.

It's all old-school stuff for me. Pretty much everything from Batsugun onwards kicks my ass.

Life Force (NES)
Stinger
Blazing Lazers
Ordyne
Cyber Core
Soldier Blade
Star Parodia
Gate of Thunder
Lords of Thunder

See, this is why I love my Duo. Not only are the games fun, but they're beatable for scrubs like myself. :P

Honorable mention - Parodius Da, Saturn Deluxe Pack. Made it all the way to stage 10, then I dropped the ball.

The mech in stage three has a safe spot for his gun. After that, you can hover over him and switch sides whenever he turns around, effectively keeping on his backside.

Personally, the level seven (I think) spider-like boss gets me every time.

People are always so humble about their shmup skills, as though they are surrounded by gods. And yet, the vast majority of the forum seems to be people who've only 1CC'd a handful of games. Fuck, even some of the people I consider having impressive skills have surprisingly low numbers.

Say it loud, say it proud.

My list, in chronological order:

MUSHA
ThunderForce III
Batsugun Special Edition *
ThunderForce V
Iridion II

* Since when did the first loop not count?!

A small, yet full of pride, list:

RayCrisis (Arcade, Hard Difficulty) * 1
Gradius Gaiden (Defaults, Loop 1 and 2's) * 27
Soukyugurentai Otokuyo (Arcade) * 2
Legendary Wings * 1

I haven't played anything lately, so this is going to remain unchanged for a while. Unless, I feel the urge to play the heck outta Gradius Gaiden again and reach 30 clears .

I used to have the "definitive" 1CC list here in the HighScores section.
It was a "sticky" right up at the top.
Well, after the websites crashing and re-birth, I've been pre-occupied by other things...So, now I hand the torch down to you.
Why not ask the mods to create a "sticky" in the High Score section as I once had?

I'm too lazy now to type out my 1CC list, but I will proudly say that its quite long. Mostly 80's/90's console shmups with only a handfull of the modern manics.
Hey, that even includes stuff by Cave!!! (all you Cave FanBoyz can relax a bit, cause this thread ain't a "CaveBash")
:)

Make the "sticky", and I'll reprint my list...

I've got a bit of list going now, actually:

Space Megaforce (my first)
Gradius 3 (SNES, of course)
Ikaruga
DoDonPachi (3 times)

Those last two I'm quite proud of. Iky took me 8 months and about 80 hours, DDP over a year and I don't know how long (though I wasn't playing it consistantly). The nice thing about sucking is that you get one HELL of a lot of replay value out of your games :D
