Finally a clean, no bullshit clear. It was actually a rather unlucky run with 2 deaths at the third boss, a really stupid death at the beginning of 1-5 and an awful last boss.
Managed to keep my cool in the second loop despite entering with no bombs or extra lives, and that went surprisingly well.

I think I can actually start working on the loop now.

Progress! yay
Super solid run, only the 2-3 boss fight sucked balls. I almost dodged his last pattern, but I messed up all the easier ones.
Came totally out of the blue, I had been playing like crap these last few days.

Deaths: 1-4, before the cannon; 1-5 right before the boss; 2-2 Boss; 2-3 Boss; 2-4 Tank platform section.

I think I'll slow down a little from now on, I'm already plenty satisfied with my progress and this is starting to get stressful.

Actually I 2-all the black-label at april 27...
Because of my laziness after I was almost finish writing the implementation of A-S(Black Label) and an detailed introduction of the system of DOJ I started upload the score to this forum(maybe soon at the chinese shmup forum,http://tieba.baidu.com/f?ie=utf-8&kw=%E ... 6%E8%9C%82)
5-0 entered the 2nd loop
5-0 reached 2-3
5-0 reached 2-5
4-1 meet the 2-5boss
3-0 meet the hibachi,because of the wrong hyper gauge,Tame's 3miss method seemed useless,I had to face to the second and third wave of the first form of the Black-Label hibachi...

Good chaining and 1 life lost on first 4 stages. Too bad I broke my chain a bit early on 1-5, right before the last mechanical heart. I still have to learn how to properly dodge 1-5 boss patterns and practice survival on 2-1.

Anyway, so happy to finally reach the half a billion milestone! :D

The scoreboard is now capped at 40 places instead of 20. It may take me some time to update ranks 21 to 40 though.

Fixed. I also added links to some high scoring runs with both ships.
I feel that I should remove the ranking limitation, as it may refrain some people to post their scores. What do you guys think?

Definitely no need to limit it since I really do not believe we are going to see an unmanageable flood of scores in the topic any time soon.

First B-Type ALL(seemed funny,I had't 2-all the B-EX&B-L before,always remains a little hp of hibachi)
Seemed descriptive had 2-all his WL,so I think I should get some score at WL&BL
1bomb at 1-2 to lower the hyper rank,but seemed so daum!
The 2nd bomb at 1-5,then 4bomb throwed to no miss the 1-5boss
At this turn,the maximum point was a shame.
5-0 entered the 2nd loop,approximately 290M(if FC the 1-5,maybe I can get 400M)
5-0 reached 2-3,but the laser seemed so weak,so I missed because lack of awareness
4-3 reached 2-4,at 2-4 I missed twice,because I want to chain,but failed
3-4 reached 2-5,actually I hadn't practiced this stage before
3-2 meet the 2-5boss
3-0 meet the hibachi,thanks to the smaller hitbox,I get 2miss at hibachi
finally reached 600M,thanks to the 50M of a ship

Do you feel like the B ship has a different size hitbox? I've seen the picture from the DVD guidebook of course but I still have hard time believing in it since it seems so odd.

Yes,I feel like this,very significant,the DVD guidebook(I 'd like to call it as booklet) is right,the Type-B in BL has a smaller hitbox(in WL the Type-B's hitbox is bigger than Type-A,and both descriptive and I think the Type-A's hitbox in BL is smaller than the Type-A's hitbox in WL)
When I was playing Type-A in BL,I can't dodge the "wash machine" like Type-B in BL,if you had seen my inputfile(replay) and you had used the Type-A to 1cc the 2nd loop of BL,When you started to use the Type-B,you'll also feel like me.
Actually,the B-S in BL is pretty hard,but the A-S seemed easier than A-E(in BL,at WL I can't 1cc it by using the A-S,I only reached the "wash machine" ),if someone here know the easier way to deal with hibachi(A-S can get 2miss of hibachi easier than A-EX,that means you can have 5miss at 1st loop&1miss at 2-2)

All right, thanks. Guess I'll have to believe it's true then. I only really have experience playing A and BL so I don't have much perspective on this.

The competition on the DOJBL cab was awesome to watch, with no less than 4 players scoring above 1b. Too bad no one ALLed it.

Thanks! I assume 2bil could come pretty quickly since I'm still making lots of mistakes everywhere. I've mostly been practicing before now so my high scores are improving really quickly now that I started playing normal runs. The theoretical max of my routes is around 3.1bil at this point but I doubt I can get that much anytime soon since the game gets really hard.

Played this on the 360 port so the replay is up there (unless I manage to overwrite it with something!) Full max and almost full chains to 2-4 rails. Can't even feel bad for completely failing the end of the run though since I discovered kinda hilarious bug on the way.

If you have an empty stock (as in hypers can drop during bosses) and you kill a boss the exact moment your active hyper ends, you never get the hyper items you have charged. I suppose the game gets confused if it should drop them at the end of the stage or the start of the next stage and ends up doing neither for some reason. Thought it was a bug in the port at first but here's it reproduced in MAME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkJ840Kb2Gg . As you can probably see the timing is really precise (maybe even frame perfect!) so it never should happen during a run.
