Since the high score list is getting pretty big, I've decided to limit the table to 70 (where the list is currently at). This is still pretty large compared to most games with limited places, so keep the scores coming.

Nice score! Go for the 2-ALL!

I'll be back in here soon with that very goal in mind, just as soon as I get the pcb in the mail this week. Just a couple more shots!

6,258,490 - CPN - 1-5 - 62 - C

After very casual play. This game is fun... it just seems like it reeeeally plods along in the 4th stage. So much of the same over and over!

edit: and there's nothing quite as fun as being instakilled by an enemy from behind with no warning

Dreadful score but I'm playing on a hong kong board.
Default settings apart from C auto fire.

For stages 1-3 everything goes well most of the time, no life loss either. Until stage 4.. i always get raped in no time.. my heart gets pumped and i'm totally losing control. any advices?

An improvement, this time with type B. damn, that helicopter feels MUCH better! stage 4 beats the crap out of me nonetheless.

For Type B, definitely use the side shots (left/right+back) to take out the popcorn as it swoops in from the bottom corners. Also, don't stay too close to the bottom of the screen.

I have more trouble with the first part of that stage than the second (where you're flying over the big base).

Finally got one of Xenepp's mame pc's setup for my vert cab. Sexy bit of kit.

First few credits into DP japan. SO much easier than the HK board. I've had to change a lot of my routes since I don't need to dodge bullets any more.

I just need to chain 1-3 now instead of surviving it and learn 1-4 and maybe beyond.

Edit,

Few more credits after tea.

First time on type C and seeing stage 5. Compared to the routes I tried with Type A type C seems to be much less of a no-brainer and having enemies come from the sides is easier to counter with C. Didn't help me when I got owned by that thing coming behind me at stage 5 though >_<.

Does anyone know effective strategy against the second boss? I really hate dying against it every run when I get hit by those random small beams it shoots.

Thanks a lot for the tip. Knowing those safespots makes some parts a lot easier. I made another run now with some idea how to face stage 5 and managed to almost make it to the boss with only 1 life. Bad scoring for the stages before though.

On stage 4 it skipped the second big U ship at the end, so there was a big gap with no enemies. Anyone see that before? (normally I try to make it skip the third U ship to get the big combo)

This run was done in MAME32Plus 0.89 and in the Japan(donpachj) region of the game.

This game is incredibly fun, though MUCH harder than it seems. I would also like to attack the suicide projectiles in Ketsui's second round, but that game has loop requirements.

Batsugun Special has 3 different types of suicide bullets, and no loop requirements. The loop 3 ones look pretty similar to Ketsui's.
