The arrange mode is really fun, I like it much better than arcade.
Reached the second form of the last boss.

Nice work! Got to Seseri for the first time today, myself - not that that says much, since final boss is a mofo.

That's a great score. You think you might have a shot at clearing it?

Thanks, although it's still not much next to the better players. I'd like to improve on it, if a certain somebody would put the PCB back in a certain arcade **COUGH*HINT*BOBBY*COUGH**

Thank you, but there's no way I can clear it at the moment.
I've only reached the last form of the last boss (not even the last pattern, mind you) a few times (with my last life) and I don't know what I'm doing there at all.

Wow, crazy score you got there! I once reached the final pattern of the final boss and it's really hard. Nowhere near the easyness of the original mode's pattern... You will need to use the shield several times, but it should be doable on 1-2 lives.

How HUGE is the end bonus by the way? Maybe I'll find back to it someday. I recall it being endless fun, but I stopped playing it to start some other game. Back then there weren't more than 3 or 4 other people playing on this board, MrMoneyMan being the one I wanted to beat

Checking MMMs replay, he has 1 life in stock and ends up with a 51 million point end game bonus. I wager somewhere in the 50 million for the clear and 1 million per life.

I think the end bonus is something like this, which is just 10 times what it is in arcade mode.

Lives x 10,000,000
Life containers x 5,000,000
Gold x 1,000
16,000,000 x % of barrier left

If I apply this to my run it almost adds up if my barrier is at 70%. The exact numbers might be hidden away on SIN's site somewhere.

Reached the last pattern for the first time :)
But with one life and no energy this is impossible.

It is idiotic that cave didn't include a practice mode for arrange mode, same with Ibara and Mushi. I would have saved myself lots of pains in mentioned latters that way (by practicing last boss lol).

Didn't reach the last pattern this time, but the run was really nice otherwise.
Looks like I won't be able to clear the game though.

You can keep telling yourself that, but don't stop playing. One day it will just happen. Nice going!

An hour's worth of playing this game convinced me of its coolness.

moozooh — 11,086,010 — 5-1 — Tateha

Died on the boss. Need to cut down on deaths/bombs in late stage 3, I know I can no-miss until at least st4 boss.

Arcade:
Erppo - 41,411,500 - ALL - Ageha

Shmupmame 2.2 input

This run went excellently with only a couple of mistakes. I couldn't have hoped for a much better score with my current strategy, which is still pretty survival oriented.

Arcade : Mat$kaT - 16,315,270 - Stage 5-1 Boss - Ageha

My first posted score, and my best yet.

Gotta get some superplays because I'm having trouble breaking this score - seems like scoring gets really slow when you max at 1000.

Am I missing something? I rarely go into "over" mode except when running out of gems - and on the level 1 boss just because I run out of gems and he's easy to beat in "over" mode.

Max score on Stage 1 = 2,100,000+ can't seem to go any higher.

Anyway, off to study up...

Less than a game hour later…

moozooh — 18,498,490 — 5-2 boss — Ageha (replay).

Ouch. Died on TLB's penultimate attack, which for me is harder than the last one. :\

I'm confident I can do this shit. I need to practice stage 4 as the amount of stupid deaths there is probably the greatest.
