I DID IT!

Image

MrMonkeyMan - 62,634,550 - ALL - Ageha

I owe it all to one flukey dodge on the 3rd boss (more like I flew through a blob of bullets and survived somehow). My very first no miss too!

Funny thing is, I would have got a better score had I killed myself at the end and got all the gold on the final form. I had no bomb and just under 700 gold. If I killed myself I would have lost 350 gold, and one life for 1.35 million, but got another 1.6 for a full barrier, plus getting the final patterns gold is worth a couple hundred thousand, plus another 100 gold would have got me like half a million more points, maybe?

Oh whatever, it feels great to finally pull it all off.

A video will follow sooner or later.

Now, to clean my bathroom!

I didn't think I would enter another score this quickly...
Incredibly enough, I got a modded PS2 (FINALLY!) and I'm enjoying playing Galuda and DOJ once and for all :D
So after playing for a couple of days, and getting used to the ps2 digital pad (evil >_<) I beat my old score.

Kewing - 45,050,070 - ALL -Ageha

Quite pleased with run :). Slowly working my way into 50 millions. Now that would be great. Tho I'm kind of stuck int both Stage 4 and 5-1 =X
Just a couple more shots!!!

Getting better although instant death is always ensured when I reach the third form of the last boss.

I can do it all apart from the female form where theres bullets swooping in from left and right with other swarms coming from above too and the very last form, although I'm making good progress with it.... I think... Theres one other part thats a bit annoying, where there is a stream of bullets down the center you have to weave through, while there being 'rain' like bullets falling down the screen to the left and right...

If you understood that... then well done

It seems impossible at first, but I think its just a case of getting an eye for it, if you know what I mean.

I know exactly the bullet patterns your talking about. Sideways bullets and bullets coming vertically from behind are always death for me. My Brain isnt hardwired to deal with these types of bullet patterns!

Anyone know of a place to download some all clear or last boss replays? The superplay.uk site is doesn't work for me to well. I would love to see some of Mr. Monkeyman's replays.

Incredibly enough I went for a change this time and surpassed by quite a bit my old score:

Arrange:
Kewing - 157,040,204 - Stage 4 - Black

Slowly getting back ino the groove of arrange mode. I'm still surprised I got this out of nowhere given I'm way more used to Irori's gameplay =?

Almost made it to stage 5 ... -_- Gotta practice more.

Man, I seem to be on a roll these days...

Arrange:

Kewing - 204,088,309 - Stage 5-1 - Chihiro

Not only I managed to equal my old score on a previous run but I even beat it later on today.
A few very dumb mistakes all over, but I must say I'm quite pleased with this run. Almost made it to 5-1 if it wasn't by a stupid mistake at Seseri =X
MovingTarget wrote:Arrange mode is a hell of a lot of fun :D
I must second that :D ( tho it really annoys the hell out of me when I screw up right at stage 1 >_< )

Seems like I'm on a roll these days:

Arcade:

Kewing - 48,755,700 - ALL - Ageha

Had a really great run up to stage 5. Then the nerves made me screw up :(. Died stupidly a couple of times and on very pissing off spots (just before killing seseri, and on the fnal boss as well), could have broken 50 mill otherwise =\. At least,it seems like I'm finally improving in both stage 4 and 5-1
