619,8036,9766,87470090 - BBH - Robin - ALL (Arcade-PS2)

getting better. I think I'll start playing on Original display though because squeezing through tight bullet gaps becomes quite an eyestrain on Arcade :(

That's pretty amazing that you cleared it first try. Did you see any videos? Also, you don't have to put Robin in your score info.

oops my bad, forgot the lists were separated by ship

I think I'd seen one short video of it when the arcade version was released, but I never watched a replay video or anything, so I had no idea what to expect from the levels and bosses. Hell, when I reached Stage 6 I thought "Okay it's just one boss like Stage 6 from part 1, there's probably one more stage if you beat it without continuing", but then the credits started rolling after I beat the boss and I was rather shocked. I then assumed that I'd did something wrong and gotten a bad ending, because there's no way I should have finished it on my first play ever, but...

(oh yeah, and I'd died once on Stage 5 somewhere but that was the only death. I had 1 life and 0 bombs left when I beat the Stage 6 boss)

for the record, I've finished the arcade version of Gigawing 1 many times, but could never get past Stage 6 of the DC version on one credit because of all the eliminated slowdown. I hated part 2 and never felt like putting any effort into it, so I wasn't sure how Generations would fare with my strange shmup tastes. Thankfully I do like it a lot more than part 2. :)

You don't have to put the ship name as part of the chart info. Just post:

SHIP TYPE:
scoring - info - etc. - blah

An Eagle score! Now all we need is a Grouse. I almost forgot there were ships other than Robin and Hawk.

First try in a long while.. I think I should have suicided on the final boss, so I got more of a bomb bonus.

It's good to be back. I tried the TypeX GWG, and found it superior to PS2 on framerate and much easier on the eyes than PS2 arcade mode. I've now gotten past stage 5 on the first credit and hope for a 1CC ALL soon (it usually takes a bomb or two on bosses 4 & 5 for me).
586,4181,3372,28497980 - gameoverDude - Hawk - Stage 6 (Arcade - TypeX)

I was THIS close to defeating the TLB on the first credit. I did continue once afterward and took him down a few seconds later on the first life of the 2nd credit. IMO, the original GW's TLB is harder.

Now this one I've captured on video at full resolution (656 x 480) but not the full frame rate (near 25ish). The first stage is currently being upped to Youtube, with about three and a half hours to go at this moment.
