Mushihime-sama Futari 1.0

CAVE 2006 (PCB)

This is the new Mushihime-sama Futari high score thread. I have taken over the previous thread created by Violent ken, which can be found archived here.

Rules: no continues, and default live stock, difficulty, and extends. Submit in the order shown in the table. The PCB has separate rankings for each character in both Original and Maniac modes, so I've set up similar rankings here.

Key for all tables:
SCORE – NAME – STAGE (LxX for ALL scores) – Abnormal/Normal

LxX for ALL scores indicates how many spare lives you finished the game with (for example, if you finish the game with 2 spare lives, list it as Lx2, if you finish the game with no spare lives, list it as Lx0)
---

ORIGINAL MODE – RECO
  1. 41,058,453 - AST-NEV – Stage 4 (Boss) - Normal
  2. 18,836,262 – D-KU BAD – Stage 3 - Normal

ORIGINAL MODE - PALM
  1. 87,371,678 – D-KU KAB – Stage 5 (Boss) - Normal
  2. 87,365,463 – J.A KIMOTA! – ALL (Lx0) - Normal
  3. 80,296,799 - AST-KOT - Stage 5 (boss) - Normal
  4. 68,273,112 – TWE – Stage 5 (Boss) - Normal
  5. 66,426,136 - AST-NEV - Stage 5 (boss) - Normal
  6. 49,414,665 – D-KU NEO – Stage 4 (Boss) - Normal
  7. 37,107,524 – ICYCALM – Stage 4 (Boss) - Normal
  8. 23,937,926 – VIOLENT KEN – Stage 4 – Normal

MANIAC MODE - RECO
  1. 90,797,871 - D-KU A-M – Stage 4 (Boss) – Normal
  2. 48,160,700 – TWE – Stage 3 - Normal
  3. 14,642,113 – ERHUNE – Stage 3 - Normal

MANIAC MODE - PALM
  1. 125,975,668 - DKU-KAB - Stage 5 - Normal
  2. 49,780,045 – TWE – Stage 3 (Boss) - Normal
  3. 40,695,236 – D-KU NEO – Stage 3 - Normal

Because the game has separate Reco and Palm rankings, obviously.

The players have the same scoring system, of course, but differences in scoring potential definitely exist with them, just like in Espgaluda 2. I think this will be most noticable with Abnormal Reco, as her A shot can target very specific spots that Palm cannot do. I saw one video where Abnormal Reco got over 20 million points in one spot in the first part of Stage 3, and there were so many bullets on the screen that the on screen display disappeared!

BTW congrats on getting to Stage 5!

Thanks twe.
I'm interested in seeing this video twe. I've made 50 millions on stage 3 with boss fight and 20 millions on the mid-boss.
So seeing a 20 millions spot on stage 3 will be very interesting :D

Here is my score detail:
- Stage1: 10.400.000
- Stage2: 56.000.000
- Stage3: 108.000.000
- Stage4: 124.000.000 (I can improve this stage, got to know more this stage and find a good spot to score on boss)

I've uploaded the Stage 3 maniac mode Abnormal Reco 20 mil segment to yousendit. You can download it here (it's only available for 7 days):

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... C130CD09B4

I don't think it's possible to do that with Palm!

It was a mistake; I would like to set this  but I've totaly messed up :P
Watched the video and damn; gem counter of 8023 on this part of level.
I've got a 6800 gem counter on this spot, have to improve my Gem counter and try if it will works with Palm.

haha, ok. :P

I wish that guy (Tsumanne?) would post videos longer than 15 seconds! He seems to be really good with Abnormal Reco. I'd love to see some full level videos from him. As for the gem counter at that point, so far I haven't gotten near 8000. I'd really like to know how he does this!

Ok, I've uploaded the other videos I have from that Japanese Abnormal Reco player. Very interesting techniques.

I guess there isn't much point in posting this score since it's on the soon-to-be-obsolete version, but:

Original: 84,495,225 – J.A KIMOTA! – Stage 5 (Boss) - Palm/Normal

Naturally, I died on the first, second and third bosses, then managed to no-miss the rest of the game up to the final boss. Sometimes I wonder wtf is the matter with me.

NTSC-J: nice score! Feel free to keep posting ver1.0 scores here. I don't think ver 1.0 will be as obsolete as previously thought. We'll see if Arcadia opens separate rankings for ver1.0 and ver1.5, in any case.

Fuck! I'm second because of 6,000 piddly points...well, at least I beat it in time for ver1.5.

(ver.1.0) Original: 87,365,463 – J.A KIMOTA! – ALL - Palm/Normal

Congrats on the ALL score, NTSC-J (Am I correct to assume you ended with no spare lives left?). Not an easy feat, especially since unlike most of the rest of us posting scores here you do not have the PCB at home to practice with. And do note I opened a new thread for Version 1.5 scores, so please post your scores with that version in the other thread.

If only.

twe has it marked correctly, no spare lives in stock at the end. If I had cleared it no miss my score would be at least double that.

ill be joining this shortly, my top score is in the 89mils.. anyways, just wondering how maniac scoring works (thats what i play).

thought i had it on the lowdown, collect multiplier gems with C shot then cash in by destroying a large enemy with A shot.. but halfof the time it doesnt work..is there something else to take into concideration?

ive seen some japanese players managing to pull it off on the icicles on stage 2 but i cant get multiplierbonus from them for the life of me...???

reeeally annoying to have a 9999gem count only to ashot a huge pattern like you get from the icicles and end up with a screenfull of gems instead of the odd 15mil it would give :x

89mil in Maniac? You must be playing version 1.5, right? You should post in the Mushi Futari version 1.5 high score thread instead.

As for your questions about Maniac mode scoring, see the strategy thread I made for the game. It should answer your questions (if not, ask questions in that thread).
