I think this is a nice little game. Very good for beginners, but also has a pretty versatile scoring system.
Anyway, I know a lot of people have played this, so I thought it was strange that there's no scoreboard.
Keep the scores coming! :)

I think it's easily possible to break 300mio. Anything above 320 will be pretty tough though.

Do you use the first ship as well?

It should be possible, I barely milked in this run, but just stayed at the top half of the screen when possible.
Yep, I use the first ship too..

3rd play today..

Smraedis - 267,014,350 - ALL, EX1, EX2

Maybe including ship-type in the rankings would help.

Damn! You caught up. o_O

Okay, this weekend I'll play it some more as well. Let's see how far we can take this! :)

Yep :D and still increasing too...

Smraedis - 291,194,850 - BD-21VM - ALL, EX1, EX2

I dropped about 5-6 million on Stage 7, 300 million has to be possible.

Definitely going to need to put in some more practice, it really helps when you know where stuff is going to be coming from ahead of time. I hate the beginning section of Stage 3, also. Thinking about switching back to the second ship... harder to milk medals for EX2 with that weapon though.

Put in a quick game, kind of a crappy run, EX2 stole too many of my lives so a stray bullet at the final area killed my shot at the clear. Scoring definitely improved with the laser/vulcan ship, though! Just... much harder to stay alive during moments when stuff comes from every direction. I can easily see pushing over 300m with some practice and better weapon management as I died a lot/dropped a lot of points here.

nZero - 266,902,500 - BD22LV - 8, EX1, EX2

I did it ^_^

Smraedis - 303,369,130 - BD-21VM - ALL, EX1, EX2

First play in a while too, only dropped some score on the end bosses, but I'm happy with 300 million.

Oh wow, congrats! :D

I look forward to seeing the replay.

Do you think 320mio is possible, or have you reached the absolute limit?

It is all uploaded now :)

I think about 5 more million is possible, but it would be hard to improve any more.

This game deserves another score.

Javel - 273,392,830 - BD-21VM - ALL, EX1, EX2

I doubt I´ll be playing it much more though.

CIT just sold me the game (well it's allready some time since but didn't play to seriously for now), so thx for this replay! It made me want to get over 300 mio as well.

Hard mode score ALL, hard mode is not for beginners definitely :D final stage is extremely hard... even last boss which was easy on normal, is hard on HARD... you guys should try it, normal mode took me 1 day to finish while hard mode took me 2-3 weeks to pull off

Been a while since I've messed with this one. Am I the only one playing vulcan-laser? :)

tinotormed - 163,191,000 - BD-21VM - ALL (No EX)

Should have got to the EX stages and a very high score if it weren't for that PCSX2 slowdown issue. :| Replay to be uploaded soon.

Oh, and you forgot this one:

Plus, I suggest making separate tables for both difficulties (Normal and Hard).

By the way, this game is also called 'Double Shienryu', as it said on the box cover.

EDIT: It's done!

Actually, "Double Shienryu" is the name of the PS2 package containing Shienryu Explosion (this game) and the original Shienryu. Just like Zanac X Zanac and Raiden Project are the names of packages, not the games they contain.

You may want to remove nZero's name because he is already that "TVR" guy.

It's not dead last so I'm posting it. Probably should have used a different ship though. I like the 22.

Fun fact: the initials after the numbers in the ship names refer to which weapons they have. VM = vulcan and missile, LV = laser and vulcan, ML = missile and laser.
