I thought Mills was using the Bf-109? :?

Either way, that was some crazy impressive piloting.

649,800 - Landshark - 1-7 - P-51 - MAME

Just for fun I tried another game with credit feeding to see how difficult the 2nd loop is. It's sick. Just sick. Took me 11 credits to GET to 2-8.

Yeah, I think not destroying those little planes is a good idea because they releaes way too many bullets and you have to dodge the boss sprays.

You can trigger "easy" bosses?

The Old Mills

elbarto - I'm pretty sure he was using the P38 on the recorded game. Although it doesn't matter, he's alled both Loops with all ships in the past.
(Ps. elbarto - (Off Topic) RE: That newish Pang game you played - I met JEF in the arcade last night; he averages Level 70 and has alled to Level 100 once before).

Landshark - Yes you can trigger easier bosses, by your vertical positioning on the screen as you approach them. Strikers 1999 has the same thing on ST6 ie. Middle for the easier Boss.

^^Probably the hardest Psikyo first round boss. I purpose triggered him when I had the chance to play the game in Japan. Oh the horror.

I remembered seeing a pic a while back of a 2-5 Strikers Plus score by Mills. No doubt he has ALL the game by now?

Super Laydock got the whole 2nd loop on Video, from the all gold 1st loop naked girl picture to the end of the 2nd loop. Mills 1 lifed to the 2-8 Final Boss - where he lost 1 life.

Regs, DEL
!!!!! You gotta find a place to post this :) I've seen a perfect first loop gold run of Strikers 1999, but never 1945 (which I think is harder).

I can't believe he can double loops so many games.
Well, you better believe it! :)

I have the second loop taped as well as his high-score entry! It wasn't even his best score though!

Anybody willing to host the video!? If so, please pm me!

Man, I'd host it if I could. I can't even host my own Strikers 1999 video - comcast doesn't seem to allow large files on their webspace. Instantly deletes it when I upload it.

Maybe you can get it to the guy that has been posting videos to usenet (alt.binaries.multimedia). I can't remember if it's postman or jigsaw.

A new Mills Strikers 1945 score;

-M- 1,738,100 - 2-8 (ALL) - P38 Lightning

Still way below par - he didn't trigger the secret train on the 2nd Loop.

735800 2-1 tetsu, PS2 tate
gunbird of course

something i discovered that probably a lot of people know, in stage 6, when you fight the 3 pillars at the beggining of the stage, bomb right awas as they appear, 3 more pillars will appear and youll get an extra bomb (so that makes 2 instead of one, just to gain back the one you wasted) a couple powerups and some points, pretty cool.
only works with tetsu and valnus, tho, and maybe ash, i dunno.

im not too interested about improving that score but out of curiosity, who's the best char for scoring?

Yeah, I know this one sucks, but I'm working on it, since it's the only PCB I've got right now... I'll priobably update this with a better one soon:

Strikers 1945
306,100 1-4 Spitfire
Arcade

^^^ Yeah, my score isn't so good either:
professor ganson - 368,300 - 1-4 - BF-109 - PS2

I'm now starting to get to the level 4 boss consistently. Should be able to get to 5 soon. I'll be super happy to make it to 1-6, though that is definitely a long term goal.

Nemo, are you going to expand the Strikers list or is it capped at 11?

Alright, I can get to level 1-5 now, but in doing so I didn't improve on the score above. I can see now that, even if I play strictly for survival, getting to 1-6 is going to take some serious practice.

Ghegs: I'm not sure this thread is being updated anymore. I put a Strikers 1945 score in about a month ago and it hasn't been put on the board yet.

Yeah, Nemo hasn't been updating any of his high-score threads for a long while. I'll try and contact him.

Alright, I talked with Nemo and he's willing to give control of his high-score threads to new management. So, the following games are up for grabs:

Gunbird (taken, new thread)
Strikers 1945 (taken, new thread)
Sengoku Ace and Sengoku Blade (taken, new thread)

All Psikyo games I dearly love myself, I almost want to take them all myself, but little sense in that...so, any volunteers? You don't need to take two at a time like Nemo did. Just post here what you want, start a new thread and transfer (and update) all the scores accordingly.

I would love to take over the Strikers 1945 thread. If that's OK, I'll construct a new thread later today.

I would also be happy to do a separate Gunbird thread, but I don't want to be a hog. If someone else wants to do it, that's fine.
